上册书中介绍了英语句子的重音,一般来说,句子中传达重要意义的实词常常重读,重读时,单词的音会发得更高、更长和更响亮。在句子中起粘合作用的助动词、代词、连词、冠词、情态动词等常常会弱读,弱读时,音发得短而快。这些词往往都有自己的弱读音形式(weak form)。
