An Exciting Volleyball Game on Campus
Last Sunday witnessed an exciting and intense volleyball match in the school gym.
The match adopted a knockout system, with a total of six teams from all grades participating enthusiastically. The teams were divided into several groups for the preliminary rounds. After a fierce battle, Team Blaze and Team Thunder advanced to the final. Through precise passes and powerful spikes, Team Blaze emerged victorious with a score of 2-1.
The match strengthened students’ team spirit and brightened campus life. It proved successful, getting thumbs-up from both teachers and students and stirring expectations for more sports activities.

Final round. I sprang into action. Measuring and mixing, I grated dark chocolate and sprinkled it over the dough, determined to create a showstopper. Dayna wouldn’t know what hit her. I filled each cupcake mold and got my colossals into the oven. At Dayna’s station, three different layers—chocolate, vanilla and strawberry—sat ready. That would be a masterpiece. Unfortunately, the beautiful layered look she wanted was turning into a tie-dye effect. Still, she wasn’t giving up. At last, my colossal cupcakes were nothing short of elegance. Dayna’s turned out way better than I’d expected. As we waited for the final results, Dayna expressed doubt about her cupcakes, but I wasn’t sure of my own outcome either.
After a tense few minutes, the winner was announced: “Isaac!” I blinked with disbelief. As thunderous applause erupted, I gave a small bow. “Congratulations, Isaac!” My best friend clapped along with the crowd. I gave Dayna a shy smile. “Couldn’t have done it without you, Dayna. Thanks for saving me before.” Despite the competition, we were still a team, and that night, I called Dayna to discuss our next move. “So now we’re tied,” I said. “One win each.” She asked, “Already planning for next year ” I replied with a grin, “You can bet on it!” In that moment, I realized that no matter what the outcome was, our friendship was the sweetest victory of all.
