There be结构的用法
Language point.
There be句型的基本结构是There +be动词+主语+地点/时间状语。
在There be句型中，be动词的单复数形式取决于其后的主语。如果主语是单数可数名词或不可数名词，be动词用is；如果主语是复数可数名词，be动词用are.
eg. There is a pen in the pencil box. / There are many cars on the road.
如果有两个或两个以上的主语，谓语和与它最近的主语保持一致，这叫就近原则。
eg. There is a ruler, two books and a pen on the desk.
There are two books, a ruler and a pen on the desk.
