【原文】 Today we are going to talk about how some animals store food for future use. Some animals collect food and hide food to support themselves when it is plenty.
One example is a kind of squirrel living in the northeast part of the United States. Unlike in the southern part, it is cold in the northeast area during winter, when it is difficult for the squirrel to find its food nuts. The squirrel collects and prepares them in autumn, when there are plenty of nuts. Then it digs many holes in the ground and hides the nuts in the holes. Instead of putting all the nut in one hole, it digs hundreds of holes every fall and only puts one nut in each hole. The reason is that in this way, it can increase its chances of finding enough food. Even if some hidden nuts happen to be found by other animals, say a curious cat. The squirrel still has enough nuts to go through the winter and even early spring.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Science Museum. My name is Jack and I will be your guide today. Now let me tell you something about the museum before I show you around.
OK, on the first floor, where we are now, you will be able to see a lot of interesting science experiments. You can try them all yourself. We will spend half an hour here.
Then we will go to the second floor, the IT floor—there you can see how computers work, as well as mobile phones and that kind of thing. On the same floor you can see the history of the car. On the next floor you will learn all about space, space travel and the history of the airplane. On the top floor, we will look at how the human body works and all about plants, trees and nature.
So, if you follow me, we’ll begin.

The temperatures change a lot when the early spring comes. Sometimes it rains or even snows. It’s difficult to choose what to wear because of the changing weather. But when Guyu or the grain rain arrives around the nineteenth of April, it will bring the gentle wind and the weather will get warmer.
It is an important period for things like wheat and rice to grow. Famers plant rice, corns and beans, expecting the rains to fall. For people who live near the sea, they hope for the safety of their fishing business at this time of year because people believe it will protect them from the rainstorms. Some people in south China even drink tea on this day to keep bad luck away.

Water is very important for us. We should try our best to save water in many ways. Here are some tips for you.
First, turn off the tap. Just turn off the tap while you brush your teeth in the morning and before bedtime. The same is true when you wash dishes.
Second, save water when taking a shower. To save even more water, keep your shower under five minutes long. Put a clock in the bathroom when you want to take a shower next time.
Third, water your garden at a good time. The best time to water your garden is in the early morning or late evening when it’s cool outside. Watering when it’s hot and sunny is wasteful because most of the water disappears before the plants have time to drink it.
