What The text tells the story of Zhou Jian who grows his hair long to help kids with cancer. Despite facing comments and laughter from others, Zhou Jian fells no shame. And he believes "Happiness springs from doing good and helping others". Why The purpose of the text is to convey the importance of helping others and doing food deeds. Through Zhou Jian's story, it shows how small acts of kindness can have an important impacts on others and bring personal happiness. How The story follows a linear structure with a lot of descriptive details, which makes the story vivid and engaging. The writer also uses techniques like quotation and symbolism to reinforce the theme.
