What The first discourse is a survey report of the glass experience. It describes the steps, results and conclusions of the experience. The second discourse is a talk note from Dr Zheng with a topic about what to do when we meet the problems. It also mentions two examples and advice on the topic. Why The survey report helps students understand the differences between the positive and the negative and cultivate their logic thinking. By completing the notes, students can realize the importance of looking for the bright side of life. How The survey report is organized in a clear structure of steps, results and conclusions. The notes compares two different attitudes and help students understand attitudes can affect life. Both discourses require students to focus on the details by filling in the blanks to grow their ability to get key information.

学习活动 Look and say 学生观察图片,回答问题: (1)A glass of water. (2)A/B (不做评价) (3)The boy on the left feels happy about the half-full glass.
