Have students listen to the recording of the words in the table on page 13 and read along. Have them clap their hands as they say each syllable in each word. 3. Have students observe the last group of words in the table on page 13 and answer the following question. When will a word have an extra syllable Answer: Sometimes when we add -(e)s to a word, the word will have an extra syllable. 4. Have students read more plural nouns and pay attention to the last syllable of each word. 5. Have students listen to the recording and divide the words in Part A on page 13 into syllables.
