二 、名词复数的读音
名词的复数形式一般在单数形式后面加-s 或-es 。名词复数词尾-s 或-es 的读音规律 一般是: 在清辅音后读作/s/,在浊辅音和元音后读作/z/,在/s/、/z/、/5/、/t /、/d /等后读作/iz/。

三 、弱读(Unstressed Words)
弱读是英语发音的自然现象,是指在快速或自然的语流中,一些非重音的词汇会被弱化,使得 这些词的发音变得简短、含糊,甚至改变音素。在句子中起粘合作用的助动词、代词、连词、冠词、 情态动词等常常会弱读。这些词往往都有自己的弱读音形式(weak form)。

英语中的助动词和情态动词在句子开头往往弱读,在句子末尾一般重读。

二 、句子重音
在连贯的话语中,不可能所有的词都同样重要,有些词较为关键,有些词则相对次要一些。一 般来说,关键词需要重读,这就是句子的重音,而其他词则不必重读。句子重音的一般规则如下:
1. 语法角度:实重虚轻
实词(带有when,who,how,where,what,why 等重要信息,即表达者的表达意图)需要重 读,即实义动词、名词、形容词、副词、数词、疑问词和感叹词等需要重读。
虚词(只做语法连接功能)不需要重读。虚词包括冠词、代词、介词、助动词、连词等。
2. 语义重音
任何一个单词都可以按说话者的意图用重读来加以突出,而把其他词都轻读。(例如有时实 词在句中并不具有重要信息,而某些虚词可能反而包含重要意义,则重读的就是这些虚词。)在一 句话中,带有“主要信息”和带有“新信息”的单词以及含有“强调”意义和“对比”与“并列”意义的单 词一般要重读。
听并跟读,注意句子的重音。
