教学目标
能够通过看图片、听录音、看动画等，了解不同宠物的基本特征。能够听、说、认读long,short,fat,thin,slow等描述宠物特征的形容词；能够运用句型“It has...”向他人简单描述宠物的特征。能够通过例句和观察图片，了解名词单复数形式的不同，了解形容词可以修饰名词。能够结合插图或世纪生活选择某种宠物进行描述，并在全班展示。
教学重点及难点
教学重点：能够熟记单词，听懂、会说句型“I love... It has...”教学难点：能够在真实或模拟的情境中正确使用重点句型来描述宠物，进而表达自己对宠物的喜爱之情。
教学过程

Warm-up: Let’s sing:T:Good morning,boys and girls.Nice to meet you.Now,let’s sing a song together.Lead-in利用多媒体展示一些已经学过的宠物图片，快速闪现让学生用英语说出单词，激活学生已有的动物的词汇知识，为新课学习做铺垫。
Presentation T:Do you like these pets Where can we see so many pets Yes,Let’s go to a pet show.Look! She is Amy.She is on the pet show,too.教师领读pet show.让学生根据每个宠物喜爱的食物猜测都有什么宠物。Let’s guessWhich is Amy’s pet 课件出示I love my rabbit. It has long ears and a short tail. 学习词汇tail发音。课件出示小兔子图片，T:Look at its ears.It’s long.教师播放音频--学生跟读--教师分音节领读---学生开火车读一读。课件出示语言支架____,____,the ears are_____.教师拿出实物，比如铅笔，格尺等让学生仿说。依次教学词汇short,fat,thin,slow。
Practice 1、播放对话视频，教师暂停音频，让学生逐句跟读，模仿语音语调。然后让学生齐读文本内容，教师巡视指导，纠正发音和语调问题。进一步巩固课文内容达到熟练的程度。2、游戏---点击柜号取快递。学生随机选取柜号，快速读出单词。3、游戏--拆快递。学生随机拆快递，并从name,colour,feature三方面去描述宠物。4、Listen and chant 播放音频，学生边听边填写所缺部分的单词。 播放视频，学生边看边在书上画出形容词。 再次播放视频，学生跟读。课件出示其他宠物，引导学生参照歌谣，自己创编。出示评价表，让学生进行自评。理解和运用，同时培养学生的创新思维和合作能力。

1. 学生课后听录音,模仿跟读 Let's learn的单词和句子。2. 跟唱 Listen and chant的歌谣。3. 完成活动手册中该板块的活动2(共21张PPT)
