课题名 Unit4 What’s your hobby
教学目标 语言能力 学生能正确听、说、认读单词 “insect” “mantis” “robot” 等,以及短语 “watching insects” “making robots” 等。熟练运用 “What do you like doing I like...”“What does he/she like doing He / She likes...”“Where is... He / She is...” 等句型进行交流。能够用英语描述他人的爱好和来自哪里,并能讲述简单的与爱好相关的故事。 思维品质 通过学习法布尔的故事,培养学生的好奇心和探索精神,引导学生积极思考、勇于提问。在了解不同人爱好的过程中,提高学生的观察、分析和归纳能力,培养逻辑思维。 学习能力 引导学生通过听、说、读、写等多种方式学习英语,培养多样化的学习策略。鼓励学生在小组合作学习中,学会倾听他人意见,积极参与讨论,提高合作学习能力。 文化意识 了解世界各地人们爱好的差异,感受不同文化背景下人们的生活方式,拓宽国际视野。培养学生尊重和包容不同文化的意识,增强文化认同感。
教学重点 1.掌握新单词和短语,如 “insect” “mantis” “robot” “making robots” 等。 2.熟练运用询问和描述爱好、人物地点的句型进行交流。 3.理解并正确运用 “like + 动名词” 结构和一般现在时第三人称单数动词的变化规则。
教学难点 1.部分较难单词的发音和拼写,如 “insect” “mantis”。 2.在实际交流中,灵活运用所学句型准确表达自己的意思,尤其是在描述爱好相关的具体行为和经历时。 3.引导学生理解爱好对个人成长和生活的重要性,并激发学生对自己爱好的探索和坚持。

教学准备 教师准备:课件、单词卡、图卡、音频、视频 学生准备:预习单词、跟读课文、理解大意
教学过程 Step1 :Warming up 1.Listen and chant. 播放歌曲 “All work and no play ”,让学生跟唱,回顾之前学过的关于爱好的词汇和句型。 2.Pair work. 学生两人一组,互相询问和回答 “What is your hobby ”,复习用 “I like...” 表达自己的爱好。 3.Look and guess. 展示一张小男孩(法布尔)观察昆虫的模糊图片,让学生猜测 “What’s the boy’s hobby What’s the boy’s name ”。 【设计意图】 通过歌曲跟唱活跃课堂气氛,复习旧知,自然引出本节课的主题 “hobbies”。Pair work 让学生在交流中巩固已学知识,提高口语表达能力。Look and guess 激发学生的好奇心和求知欲,为接下来的故事学习做铺垫。 Step2:Presentation 1.Look and say. 展示清晰的小男孩观察昆虫的图片,引导学生回答之前猜测的问题 “What’s the boy’s hobby What’s the boy’s name ”,引出法布尔(Fabre)喜欢观察昆虫(watching insects)的爱好。 2.Listen, read and answer. 呈现关于法布尔的短文,教师播放录音,学生边听边看短文,回答教师提出的问题,如 “What is Fabre's hobby ” “Why does he like watching insects ” 等,培养学生的听力和阅读理解能力。 3.Listen, read and fill. 再次呈现短文,让学生在听读过程中填空,如 “One day he _________ a tree to study a________. He stays there and watches for______________.”,强化对短文内容的理解和关键信息的把握。 4.Read and write:让学生阅读短文后,判断给出的句子对错,如 “Fabre likes watching insects.” “Fabre goes up a tree to study a bird.” 等,巩固对短文细节的理解。 5.Listen and imitate. 教师播放短文录音,学生逐句模仿跟读,注意语音语调,培养良好的语音习惯。 6.Read and think. 展示关于 “hobby” 的藏头诗,让学生阅读并思考爱好的意义,引导学生理解爱好需要对知识的渴望(Hunger for knowledge)、对所爱的执着(Obsessed with what I love)、勇敢面对挑战(Braving challenges)、全身心投入(Burying myself deep)以及对沿途美好的向往(Yearning for the beauty along the way),提升学生对爱好的认知。 7.Let’s learn! 介绍法布尔的《昆虫记》(The Insect Book),让学生了解这本有趣的书里有很多昆虫,拓展学生的文化知识。 8.Read again and write. 让学生再次阅读短文,根据短文内容填写法布尔喜欢做的事情,如 “Learning” “asking questions” “watching insects” 等,加深对短文的理解和记忆。 9.Listen and answer. 播放关于 Stan,Rena,Weiwei,Sally 爱好的听力材料,让学生听后回答 “Who are they What are their hobbies ”,引出世界各地人们不同的爱好。 10.Listen and chant. 播放关于世界各地人们爱好的歌谣 “Hobbies around the world”,学生跟唱,在欢快的节奏中熟悉不同人的爱好表达。 【设计意图】 Look and say 帮助学生直观了解法布尔的爱好,为后续学习做准备。Listen, read and answer 等活动通过多种方式让学生学习法布尔的故事,提高听力、阅读、理解和书写能力。Listen and imitate 规范学生的语音语调。Read and think 引导学生思考爱好的意义,培养学生的思维品质。Let’s learn!拓宽学生的文化视野。Read again and write 强化对故事内容的掌握。Listen and answer 和 Listen and chant 引出并让学生熟悉世界各地人们的不同爱好,感受爱好的多样性。 Step3: Practice. 1.Read and circle. 呈现一些包含 “s” 或 “r” 发音的单词,如 “skating” “Stan” “robots” 等,让学生阅读并圈出这些单词,练习单词发音,巩固语音知识。 2.Listen and say. 展示 Charlie、Lanlan、Kelly 的图片以及他们的爱好选项,播放录音,让学生听后选择正确的爱好,并模仿录音用 “I’m from…I like…”“He /She is from… He /She likes…” 描述他们来自哪里和喜欢做的事情。 【设计意图】 Read and circle 活动训练学生的语音感知能力,让学生注意单词的发音规律。Listen and say 活动通过听力练习和口语模仿,巩固学生对询问和描述人物来自哪里及爱好的句型运用能力。 Step4: Production Work in groups. 学生分组讨论自己朋友们的爱好,鼓励学生运用所学句型 “My friend...likes...” 进行描述,并可以分享朋友们爱好相关的有趣经历,每个小组推选一名代表进行汇报。 【设计意图】 小组活动为学生提供了真实的语言运用情境,培养学生的合作学习能力和语言交际能力,让学生在交流中进一步巩固和运用所学知识,同时锻炼学生的组织和表达能力。 Step 5: Summary 教师引导学生回顾本节课所学内容,让学生一起朗读重点单词和句型;学生独立完成 PPT 上的练习题,教师进行讲解和点评。 【设计意图】 通过 PPT 呈现和教师引导,帮助学生梳理本节课的知识框架,强化记忆重点内容。学生自主总结培养其归纳总结能力,加深对知识的理解和掌握。
板书设计
课后作业 基础题 听录音跟读本节课所学单词和对话 5 遍,模仿语音语调,并录制自己跟读的音频发送到班级群。 提高题 用所学句型写一篇小短文,介绍自己家庭成员的爱好以及一位朋友的爱好,至少包含 5 句话。 拓展题 调查一位名人的爱好,收集相关图片和资料,用英语制作一张简单的手抄报,介绍这位名人的爱好以及爱好对他 / 她的影响。
教学反思 亮点:注重知识的复习与巩固,在热身和练习环节,通过 Pair work、Listen and chant 等活动,不断复习之前学过的关于爱好的词汇和句型,让学生在已有知识的基础上学习新知识,降低学习难度。 不足:在时间把控上不够精准,在讲解法布尔的故事时花费时间较多,导致后面拓展活动时间略显紧张,学生的讨论和展示不够充分。 教学建议:更加合理地安排教学时间,在讲解故事时,突出重点内容,合理控制时间,为后面的拓展活动留出足够的时间,让每个学生都能充分展示自己的学习成果,增强学生的学习自信心。
