考点 1:everything /'evriθ / pron. 每件事;一切
【用法】 everything 是由 “every + thing” 构成的。
everything 作主语时,谓语动词用 单数形式。
everything 与否定词连用时,表示 部分否定。
反义词为 nothing。

辨析:lend, borrow 与 keep lend “借给;借出”。非延续性动词,指的是物主借出自己的东西。常构成短语lend sth. To sb.= lend sb. sth. 把某物借给某人。
borrow “借;借入”。非延续性动词,指的是向别人借入东西。常构成短语borrow sth. From sb.=borrow sb.’s sth. 向某人借某物。
keep “保留”,延续性动词,可以和一段时间连用。

【用法】
of course 相当于 sure 或 certainly,常用于对话中的肯定回答。
其否定形式为 of course not,意为“当然不”。
of course 在句中的位置较为灵活,可放在句首、句中、句尾,表达一种理所当然的肯定态度。
考点 2: lend /lend/ v. 借给;借出
【例句】
—Can you swim 你会游泳吗? —Of course. 当然会。
—Would you mind closing the window 你介意关上窗户吗?
—Of course not. / Certainly not. 当然不介意。

【结构分析】
这句话属于主谓结构。we 是主语,can’t eat 是谓语,can’t 表示“不能,不可以”,指的是“不允许”。eat 是实义动词,意为“吃”,两者一起构成谓语。In class 状语,表示动作发生的地点是“在课堂上”,修饰谓语动词eat,说明“吃”这个动作发生的地点限制。

【句型】
句式“主语+ can’t + 动词原形.”可以用于传达某种规则或者禁令,表示不能或不允许做某事。
一般疑问句结构“Can +主语 + 动词原形+ 其他?”,用来询问许可,意为“……能不能做某事?”。
“主语+ can’t + 动词原形.”也可以表示能力,表达“不会做某事。”
