谓语动词要看具体情况,如果是指整个一家人谓语就用单数,如果指一家人中的每个人则用复数。

not...until...意为“直到……才……”,表示某一动作到until所表示的时间才发生。until后接表示某一时间的名词(此时作为介词),也可以接时间状语从句(此时作为连词)。

compare的其他用法:
(1) compared with为过去分词短语,表示被动含义,意为“与……相比”。

(2) compare...to...意为“把……比作……”。

同。continue doing sth.继续做原来的事;continue to do sth.继续做另一件事。

v.意为“比较”。
◆compare…with…“把……与……比较”。
如:Compare your answer with the right one.
把你的答案和正确的对照一下。
◆compare…to…“把……比作……”。
如:Shakespeare compared the world to a stage.
莎士比亚把世界比作舞台。




It's time for sth.
意为“到做某事的时间了”。可与It's time to do sth.进行转换。It's time for sb. to
do sth. 意为“到某人做某事的时间了”。
如:It's time for us to read for the rise of China!
到我们为中华之崛起而读书的时候了。




compete
v.意为“竞争; 对抗”。
compete with/against和……竞争;compete for为……竞争
如:We can't compete with them on price.
我们不能在价格上与他们竞争。

cut out
意为“删除;删去”。
cut out为动副型短语,代词作其宾语时须放在两个词之间;名词作其宾语时,既
可放在两个词中间,也可放在out 之后。
【拓展】cut out的其他含义:

②停止做(或使用、食用)
③突然熄灭,停止运转




crazy
adj.意为“疯狂的;不理智的”。
crazy的常用搭配:
①be crazy to do sth.不理智做某事
②be crazy about sth.热衷于某事或某物;对某事或某物着迷
如:You must be crazy to do that.
你那么做一定是疯了。

n.意见;想法;看法
