学情分析 经过听说课的学习,学生已能够邀请他人参加庆祝活动,并能在邀请时提供有关庆祝活动的时间、地点和活动等基本信息。但学生所遇的庆祝活动邀请,多以口头或非正式文体的方式提出,对于正式邀请函的书写比较陌生。结合本阅读语料特点,帮助学生尽快熟悉邀请函各部分的功能和其四项核心信息,学习其语言特点;并在此基础上完成情境写作,真正掌握正式邀请函写作要点。
学习目标 知识目标: Learn the words and phrases and be able to write an invitation letter:invitation / partner / on behalf of / confirm/support/ play an important role in/attend/would like to/attend/look forward to ... 能力目标: Master the basic structure and key points of writing an invitation letter.
Master how to write an invitation letter with clear logic and appropriate language. 情感目标: Understand the expression characteristics and differences between oral and written invitations, as well as between personal and business invitations.
学习重难点 教学重点:Be able to grasp the key information points of the invitation letter and use appropriate words and sentence patterns for describing celebration activities. 教学难点:Write an email invitation.

Step 1 Warming Up 1.Think and discuss. Presents screenshots of the invitation letter and asks questions. Then invite students to answer and count the answers of other classmates on the spot . How did you invite someone to an event last time make a call/send a message/tell them in person/send an email/ask someone to help/write and send an invitation... 2.Discuss and list. Guide the students to discuss the characteristics of the expressions related to different ways of inviting, and to summarize what information is essential among them. 1.Discuss their experiences of inviting others and get to know about different ways of inviting. Students do a brainstorming and list the ways of sending out activity invitations, such as...: by letter、by email、by phone、by text message、by WeChat 等。 By counting on the spot the ways in which students have invited others to celebration activities in the past, it not only relates to the students' own experiences but also stimulates their curiosity about the topic of this lesson. Discussing the ways of inviting aims to activate students' relevant knowledge reserves and pave the way for subsequent reading activities. Summing up the indispensable information in different inviting methods will help students quickly grasp the core information of the invitation letter when reading.
Step 2: Reading 1.Read and decide. Listen to the recording. Students read the email quickly to grasp the general idea of the text and determine its text type. (Pay attention to the title and relevant sentences.) The teacher will give the answers. A business email. (Subject ,On behalf of ABC Shopping,business partners) 2.Study of key words and phrases. Then understand the short passage. Key words: invitation / event / partner / support / celebrate / confirm Key phrases: on behalf of sb. / invite … to … / play an important part(role) / look forward to Key sentences: We hope you will be able to confirm your attendance before November 1st. 3.Read and complete. Leads the students to extract the four core pieces of information of a formal invitation letter with the help of the given mind map framework: the invitees, the purpose of the activity, the time and the place. 4. Read and match. 1)Students first read and understand the meanings of the sentences . Then read the invitation letter again to find out the key information, summarize and match the functions of the paragraphs according to the general ideas of the paragraphs.Ask the students to explain the reasons and givesfeedback. 2)The teacher underlines the following key words, phrases and sentences in the invitation letter, explains their meanings and main usages, and gives appropriate examples when necessary. 1. Read the email quickly to grasp the general idea of the text and determine its text type. 2.Read the email ,learn words and expressions. 3.Read the text purposefully to find out the specific contents of the four core pieces of information and fill in the mind map. 4.Read and understand the meanings of the sentences in the questions. Then they read the invitation letter again to find out the key information in each paragraph, summarize and refine it, and match the functions of the paragraphs according to the general ideas of the paragraphs. Using the reading of business invitation letters as a vehicle, students are enabled to apply reading strategies and complete a series of reading activities. In this process, while enhancing their reading comprehension and summarization abilities, they can understand the text type of invitation letters, extract their core information, and sort out the content structure of invitation letters, thus making knowledge preparations for subsequent writing of invitation letters.
Step 3: Writing 1.Review the four elements and structure of an invitation email. Then read the poster and the given email. Consider the missing parts and find the information from the poster. Prepare for writing. 1.Select appropriate expressions to complete the writing. 2.Ask two students to display their works on the screen. Provide students with criteria to compare the works. 写作评价标准邀请函的相关词汇与句型是否使用正确?表达是否清晰且符合逻辑?语法运用是否正确?单词拼写是否正确,标点符号使用是否规范?

Ask students to write an invitation letter for a campus activity by imitating the formal invitation letter in the text and using the learned language knowledge and structures, aiming to train students' knowledge transfer ability and pragmatic ability.

Step 5: Homework 1.Memorize the key words and phrases. 2.Design a promotional flyer for your vocational school.
