1. My skateboard is really cool, and so are theirs. 我的滑板很酷,他们的也是。
so引导的倒装句的结构
(1)“So+be/助动词/情态动词+主语.”表示“……也是这样的。”
Meimei can play the piano well. So can I. 梅梅钢琴弹得很好。我也是。
(2)“So+主语+be/助动词/情态动词.”表示“的确是这样的。”
—Li Han is good with children. 李涵善于与孩子打交道。
—So she is. 的确如此。
so之后可用be动词,也可以使用情态动词或助动词,要与上句保持一致

2. We encourage one another to do tricks. 我们相互鼓励表演技巧。
(1)encourage作动词,意为“鼓励”,常用结构为:encourage sb to do sth,意为“鼓励某人做某事”;encourage sb in ... 意为“在……方面鼓励某人”。名词形式是encouragement,意为“鼓励”。
The teacher encouraged us to speak English in class. 老师鼓励我们上课时说英语。

3. Some tricks are difficult, but once you succeed, you feel great! 有些技巧很难,但一旦你成功了,你会感觉很棒!
succeed是动词,意为“实现目标;成功”,反义词是fail。
He wanted to make her happy, and he succeeded. 他想让她高兴,而且他做到了。
【拓展】succeed in doing sth意为“成功做某事”。
I succeeded in passing the exam. 我成功地通过了考试。

goal作名词,意为“目标;目的”。

【拓展】goal还可意为“球门;射门”。 score a goal意为“射门得分”。

6. We work as a team, and we win or lose as a team. 我们是一个团队,无论输赢。
(1)win作动词,意为“获胜;赢;赢得”,其现在分词为winning,后接比赛、战斗、奖励、名次等名词作宾语。

【拓展】winner作可数名词,意为“获胜者”。
There’s only one winner. 只有一个获胜者。
(2)lose作动词,意为“输掉”。
They don’t want to lose the match. 他们不想输掉比赛。
【拓展】①lose作动词,还可意为“失去;丢失”。
She lost interest in dancing. 她对舞蹈失去了兴趣。
