Welcome to Beijing, the capital of China! Let me show you around my hometown.
In the centre of Beijing is the Palace Museum. It was once the palace of some emperors in ancient China. With wonderful buildings and art treasures inside, it’s well worth a visit.
Next to the Palace Museum is Tian’anmen Square. Many visitors like to come early in the morning to watch the raising of the national flag.
If you want to know more about traditional Beijing life, why not visit a siheyuan It’s a group of four traditional Chinese houses in a square. There’s a house on each side and a courtyard in the middle. There are hutong between the siheyuan. You can get a taste of the past by walking through the hutong.
Feeling hungry Try some delicious Beijing duck. You’ll love it! At night, remember to enjoy Beijing opera at one of the local theatres. It’s wonderful. Don’t miss it!
Language points

show sb. around意为“领某人参观”，其后可接地点，也可不接地点。

2. In the centre of Beijing is the Palace Museum.
坐落在北京市中心是故宫博物院。
本句是倒装句，主语是the Palace Museum。正常的语序是The Palace Museum is in the centre of Beijing.。

(1) 句中“with+名词+副词”结构充当状语，主语it指代the Palace Museum。

故宫博物院的旁边是天安门广场。
(1) 本句是倒装句，主语是Tian'anmen Square。正常语序是“Tian'anmen Square is next to the Palace Museum.”。
(2) square n. 广场

句中有两个动词不定式，第一个动词不定式短语是充当like的宾语，第二个动词不定式短语“to watch the raising of the national flag”作目的状语，表明一大早来的目的。。
7. If you want to know more about traditional Beijing life, why not visit a siheyuan 如果你想更多地了解北京的传统生活，为什么不去参观四合院呢？
e.g. It is fine today. Why don't you/ Why not go climbing
今天天气好。为什么不去爬山呢？
(1) If引导条件状语从句。
(2) 此句型为表示建议的交际用语，Why not... 意为“为什么不……？”相当于“Why don't you... ”，其后跟动词原形，用于向别人提出建议。
8. It’s a group of four traditional Chinese houses in a square. There's a house on each side and a courtyard in the middle.它（四合院）呈正方形，由四座中国传统房屋围合而成。每边各有一座房屋，中间有一个庭院。
(1) 四合院是一种中国传统的院落式住宅。其格局为四面建有堂屋、住房、厨房等，将庭院围在中间。一般门窗开向院子，对外不开窗。
(2) There be 句型，There be+物+介词+地点，表示某地有某物；
e.g. There is a lamp on the table. 桌上有一个台灯。
There are some apples in the bowl. 碗里有几个苹果。
9. You can get a taste of the past through the hutong.
你们可以通过胡同体验到过去的日常生活。
e.g. Students can get a taste of the country life during the holidays.

It gives the impression that the vlogger has a special bond(纽带) with Beijing and is sharing his/her own knowledge and experiences of the place.
Starts with a warm welcome to draw the viewer’s attention and creates a friendly atmosphere(氛围).
The vlogger uses informal language.
The descriptions of the places are short and interesting.
