think of:想起;考虑。
如:I can't think of her name.(我想不起她的名字。)
let sb do sth:让某人做某事。

agree with:同意某人的意见、想法等。
如:I agree with him/his idea.(我同意他(的意见)/ 他的想法。)
agree to:同意某计划、观点或建议等。
如:Please agree to this plan.(请同意这个计划。)
agree on:就…… 取得一致意见。
如:They all agree on the matter.(他们在这个问题上意见一致。)
How was one's weekend :某人的周末怎么样?答语常用 “It was great./It was OK./It was not bad./It was terrible.” 等。
如:-How was your weekend -It was great.(- 你的周末怎么样? - 好极了。)

如:Was it boring (它无趣吗?)
I used to think...:我过去常常认为……。
如:I used to think it was easy to get clean water.(我过去常常认为得到干净的水很容易。)

动词不定式(短语)作目的状语:
如:We went to the theatre to watch a show.(我们去戏院看演出了。);To get up early, he went to bed at nine last night.(为了早起,他昨天晚上 9 点就上床睡觉了。)
It takes a few more steps after that before...:那之后在…… 之前还需要好几步。
如:It takes a few more steps after that before the water becomes clean again.(那之后在让水又变干净之前还需要好几步。)
疑问词 + 动词不定式(短语):在句子中可作主语、宾语、表语等。
如:I don't know how to plant trees.(我不知道怎样种树。);The problem is where to go.(问题是去哪里。)
Plants need so much work!:植物需要如此多的工作!
It was tiring, but I enjoyed...:很累人,但是我喜欢……。
如:It was tiring, but I enjoyed working with my hands.(很累人,但是我喜欢用自己的双手去劳动。)
It made me think of the saying...:它使我想到了那个警句……。
如:It made me think of the saying, "Every grain comes from hard work.”(它使我想到了那个警句:“粒粒皆辛苦”。)
They certainly taste better when...:当…… 时,它们当然尝起来更好了!
如:They certainly taste better when you work for them!(当你为它们付出劳动时,它们当然尝起来更好了!)

重点语法 - 一般过去时
一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态,常和表示过去的时间状语连用,如 yesterday, last night, last week 等。动词过去式的构成有规则变化和不规则变化。本单元出现的部分不规则动词过去式:is/am - was,are - were,see - saw,go - went,leave - left,teach - taught,grow - grew 等。
例如:I was interested in it last year.(去年我对它感兴趣。);We saw the plant make dirty water clean again.(我们看到工厂使得脏水又变干净了。)
interested 与 interesting 的用法区别:interested 感兴趣的,常表示某人对某物感兴趣,常作表语;interesting 令人感兴趣的,常表示某物具有令人感兴趣的特征,可作表语或定语。常在 “单项填空” 题中考查两者用法区别,在 “完成句子” 题中考查 be interested in 这一短语。
如:The game is interesting.(这个游戏有趣。);
The boy is interested in art.(这个男孩对美术感兴趣。)
see sb do sth 与 see sb doing sth 的区别:see sb do sth 强调看到了动作的全过程或动作经常发生;see sb doing sth 强调看到的动作正在进行。
如:I often see him play basketball on the playground.(我经常看到他在操场上打篮球。);I saw her watering the flowers.(我看到她正在浇花。)
turn...into... 的用法:常在 “根据汉语意思完成句子” 题中考查这一固定搭配的用法。、
如:The magician turned the paper into a flower.(魔术师把这张纸变成了一朵花。)
used to do sth 与 be used to doing sth 的区别:used to do sth 表示过去常常做某事,强调过去和现在的对比,暗指现在已经不存在的动作或状态,used 没有人称和时态的变化;be used to doing sth 表示习惯于做某事。
如:He used to live here.(他曾经在这儿住过。);
He is used to getting up early.(他习惯于早起。)
leave 的用法:leave 作动词,有 “忘记带;丢下” 的意思,结构为 leave sth + 地点状语;还可作名词,意为 “休假;假期”。
如:I left my English book at home this morning.(今天早晨我把英语书忘在了家里。);He asked for three days' leave.(他请了 3 天的假。)
try on 的用法:try on 为 “动词 + 副词” 结构,宾语为代词时,代词要放在两词之间;宾语是名词时,放在 on 之前或之后均可。
如:The new coat is for you. Please try it on.(这件新外套是给你的。请试穿一下。);try on the shoes = try the shoes on(试穿鞋子)
以 -f/-fe 结尾的可数名词变复数规则:以 -f/-fe 结尾的可数名词,其复数形式是变 -f/-fe 为 -ves。
如:leaf - leaves,shelf - shelves,knife - knives 等。
使役动词的用法:let, make, have 等使役动词后面应跟不带 to 的动词不定式作宾语补足语,即 let/make/have sb do sth。
如:Let me go with you.(让我和你一起去。);
What makes you become a doctor (是什么让你成为一名医生?);
I will have my sister help me with my maths.(我将让我姐姐帮助我学习数学。)

A Memorable School Trip
Last month, I went on a school trip to a science museum. It was on a sunny Saturday. We met at the school gate early in the morning and took a bus there.

After that, we had a small group discussion about what we learned. It was really exciting to share ideas with my classmates.
