It was a hard final soccer match. Just before it ended, I kicked the winning goal. “Ollie! You are really our hero!” My best friend Mike gave me a hug and cheered excitedly. Everyone was happily celebrating, and even a couple of dogs joined in.
Then I heard a loud voice, “Stop!”
I turned around and saw two dogs playing with a long red toy. Soon everyone crowded around and I realized they weren’t playing with a toy at all. It was the surprise scarf I’d been knitting (编织) for Mike!
I ran over to try to get my scarf back. Unluckily, two boys from the other team took it first and laughed at me.
“Hey, soccer star! Does this belong to you ”
“That’s my knitting!” I said, “Could you please give it back ”
“Ha, knitting is for girls!” One boy laughed, throwing the scarf to the other.
I smiled and said, “If you love my scarf, you can keep it. I’ve been planning to make another one in green.”
“I think knitting is for boys too.” Mike asked, “________”
“Of course!” I replied.
Finally, the two boys threw my scarf back and said “sorry” as they ran off.
Our coach ended up celebrating our big win by ordering some pizzas. After we ate up, I showed Mike how to do a few basic knitting skills. Then, believe it or not, five more teammates wanted to learn. We decided to get together another day so that I could teach them.

A study in The Lancet Public Health says that if kids study at school, they might live longer when they grow up. Researchers looked up more than 40 years of data on adult deaths from more than 600 studies in 59 countries.
According to the study, the risk of death drops greatly for those who have completed more years of pleting 18 years of education, from kindergarten through college, cut adult death rate by 34%. This is almost the same as being healthy by eating lots of vegetables. The connection between health and education is strongest for younger adults ages 18 49. For every one more year of schooling, the death rate (死亡率) for adults under 50 is reduced by nearly 3%, and for older adults, the benefit (好处) was smaller but still important.
“A lot of kids I work with are thinking about dropping out of school because their families need them to make money,” said Linn Gould, the executive director of Just Health Action in Seattle. She believes that helping students understand how education benefits their long-term health could motivate them to stay in school and complete their education. “I think kids would like to know these things, especially as they’re making decisions about their future and their opinions about education,” Gould said.
This study looked only at adults, but other research shows that more education for parents also benefits their children. For every one more year of schooling a parent gets, the death rate of their child under age 5 goes down by 3% for mothers and 1.6% for fathers. The research team next plans to look at how education affects some kinds of health problems, like heart disease and obesity (肥胖), along with how kids’ health might be affected by not being in school.
23. What is the study mainly about
A. The benefits of a healthy life. B. Reasons for lifelong learning.
C. Ways to improve students’ study. D. The effect of schooling on health.
24. What can we learn from Paragraph 2
A. Adults over 50 benefit more from education.
B. Students’ health is important for their learning.
C. Schooling can greatly reduce the risk of death in adults.
D. Vegetables do not always help improve people’s health.
25. What is the next step of the research team
A. To show the harm of not studying at school.
B. To find out why parents’ education is important.
C. To present the role of family education in kids’ growth.
D. To study how education affects certain health problems.
26. Where is this text most probably taken from

When people are still surprised by the super power of Chat-GPT, the DeepSeek has already become the hottest word across the world, becoming the leading app downloaded by the most users. In 2021,80% of the companies have something to do with AI. In 2025,the number of companies using AI will grow by 270%. 51% of the companies have decided to deepen their use of AI.
The rapid spread of Al has left people wondering: Besides those companies, who is the most likely to take AI into their daily lives Many suppose those who understand how AI works--who are most likely to welcome it. Surprisingly, our new research, published in the Journal of Marketing, finds the opposite. People with less knowledge about AI are actually more open to using the technology. In other words, people are more likely to show interest in things that they don't know very well.
The reason behind this lies in how AI now performs a task we once thought only humans could do. When Al creates a piece of art, writes a heartfelt reply,or plays a musical instrument,it can feel almost magical - like it's stepping into human field.
Of course,AI doesn't actually have human qualities. A chatbot might produce a human-like answer, but it doesn't feel what we humans feel. People with more technical knowledge about AI understand this. They know how algorithms(算法),training data(训练数据),and computer models work. This makes the technology less mysterious. On the other hand, those with less understanding, especially the young, may see AI as magical and inspiring. We suggest this sense of magic makes them more open to using AI tools.
This finding offers new insights into why people act so differently to the new technologies. Some studies suggest consumers enjoy the new tech, which is called"algorithm appreciation,"while others show doubts,or they are not so"magicalness"as a key reason shaping these reactions(反应).
To make the most of AI's potential(潜力),businesses, teachers and policymakers need to strike this balance. By understanding how the idea of"magicalness"shapes people's openness to AI,we can help develop and use new AI-based products and services that take the way people view AI into account, and help them understand the benefits and risks of AI. And under a perfect situation, people can not only enjoy the fantasy brought about by the artificial intelligence, like the super mathematical ability, but also admire the magicalness it is born with.
27. How does the writer show the popularity of AI
A.By giving an example B. By listing numbers
C. By creating a picture D. By asking a question
28. Who will download DeepSeck to use it according to the new research
A. John, a student studying computer science in the college.
B. Daisy, a girl who is open to new ideas working at home.
C. Steve, an old man who has just recently got a new phone.
D. Tony, an office worker who knows the training data well.
29. What does the underlined word mysterious mean
A. frightening B. understandable C.magic D. special
30. What is the right structure of the passage
A. ①②//③④⑤⑥ B. ①//②③//④⑤//⑥
