Step 1　情景导入
Teacher：Do you like the story about the lion and the mouse
Student 1：Yes，I like it very much.
Teacher：Why
Student 1：Because I learned from the story that we should be nice to others.Kindness is never wasted.
Teacher：That's right.Can you retell the story for us
Student 1：Sure.Once a lion caught a mouse.The mouse was afraid.He asked the lion to let him go and promised that he would help the lion one day.
Teacher：Excellent！Can anyone finish it
Student 2：The lion let the mouse go.Then one day a hunter caught the lion in a net.The mouse bit through the net and set the lion free.

环节说明：通过复习上节课的故事来复习一般过去时，提高学生复述故事的能力，完成教学目标。
Step 2　完成教材2a－2e的任务
1．听2a录音，圈出你所听到的彩色单词。
2．根据2a，完成2b的故事流程图。
3．再读2a故事，回答2c的问题，可以讨论。核对答案。
4．根据2a，完成2d。根据故事来猜测句子是谁说的。
5．再听一遍2a录音，向你的搭档复述这个故事。
环节说明：这一环节主要是通过听说读来训练学生的英语能力。学会用一般过去时讲一个故事。通过对话训练提高学生的听说能力。
Step 3　小结训练
选择方框中的单词并用其正确形式填空。

Once upon a time，there was an old man who kept horses.One day，he lost one of his horses．Others said that this was unlucky，but he said that it was uncertain (不一定).A year later，the horse came back with a herd of (一群) good horses.Everyone else said it was lucky，but he still said that it was uncertain.Then one day his son fell off a horse and broke a leg.Others said it was unlucky，but he still said that it was uncertain.Soon after the war broke out，many young people were forced to join the war.Only the old man's son didn't have to go because of his leg.
环节说明：通过听、说、读、写训练，学生掌握了解了要掌握的语言目标，学生的英语表达能力在这一环节得到提升。
Step 4　问题探究
The emperor decided to show everyone his new clothes.
1．decide的用法
1)决定做某事：decide to do sth.
I decided_to go to the beach this weekend.我决定这个周末去沙滩。
2)决定某事物：decide on/upon sth.
They decided_on the plan after a careful discussion.他们经过仔细讨论后决定了这个计划。
2．decide变名词：decision
make a decision to do sth. 决定做某事
make one's own decision＝decide for oneself自己做决定
