4. Can you explain why the time is different in each city at the same moment in time
Yes. When the sun is shining on one side of the earth (daytime), it is dark on the other side of the earth (night time). It takes 24 hours for the earth to make one rotation. Therefore the earth is split into 24 time zones, one for each hour. These are imaginary lines (called "meridians") that run from the north to the south pole. The zones are centred on the Greenwich Meridian Line, which runs through London. Each zone to the east of there is an hour ahead, and each zone to the west, one hour behind. Therefore, at any single moment in time, the time is different in different places in the world depending on which zone the place is in.
