1—5 ABCAC 6—10 ACABC
11—15 BCBAC 16—20 CABBA
21. 答案:A
Explore some of the most breathtaking paintings by Claude Monet with the help of a digital 360-degree presentation.
To fully get into the world of the French painter, visitors are guided through three experience rooms. Each room is a highlight on its own and provides visitors not only with an insight, but also with new experiences and new viewpoints on Monet's life, his work and his masterpieces.
根据Practical info部分的"Date: from March 2024"和"Opening hours: Wednesday, Thursday: 10: 00 am–7: 00 pm,Friday: 10: 00 am–8: 00 pm,Saturday: 9: 00 am–8: 00 pm,Sunday: 9: 00 am–7: 00 pm,Monday and Tuesday: Closed"和文中的"Duration: the visit will take around 60 to 75 minutes"可知,推荐的游览时间是4月7日,星期天下午4点。
Like many people, I once firmly believed we study math merely to finish our homework and pass math exams and that math is only relevant to those who would like to pursue a career as scientists. However, this perception later turned out to be absolutely ridiculous.
One turning point was when I was 16, while washing dishes, I noticed that the soap bubbles were packed together like a honeycomb, but not all of these shapes were perfectly round. Why did some of the bubbles look like hexagons(六边形) Why didn't I see any star-shaped bubbles (一个转折点是在我16岁的时候,在洗碗的时候,我注意到肥皂泡像蜂巢一样挤在一起,但并不是所有的形状都是完美的圆形。 When I learned that math could help answer these questions, I realized math pops up even in our kitchen sink.
You may worry that learning many topics in elementary school, like percentages and measurements, is a waste of time. But your concern is definitely unnecessary. Look at these examples and you'll know what I mean. If you want to build a fence around your house or paint your walls a new color, all of those activities require knowledge about measurement and scale. More complicated construction projects, such as building a tree house, require lots of mathematical problem-solving skills.
27. 答案:A
Math is so much more than filling out homework problem sets. So next time you kick back to watch your favorite animated movie, or start saving up for a fancy tech device, hopefully, you'll appreciate how math is integrated into so many parts of life.
According to new research, insects actually carry electrical charges which can have enormous effects on the atmosphere, potentially influencing even the weather." Before you can understand that, you have to understand how electrical charges in the atmosphere work."
30. 答案:A
Scientists concluded that atmospheric electricity is primarily driven by natural weather events like thunderstorms and shower cloud, though factors like human pollution also affect it." Most surprisingly, insects' electrical charges can have just as significant an impact on atmospheric electricity as natural weather events."
PG affects the movement of aerosols(气溶胶) in the atmosphere, and leads to charging of droplets in some clouds." Insect swarms likely won't drive weather events like thunderstorms, but they could impact the movement of these atmospheric aerosols."
This approach, of course, has achieved notable successes when applied to stable and well-defined situations such as chess or computer games. When such conditions are absent, however, machines struggle." In 2008,Google launched Flu Trends, a web service that aimed to predict flu-related doctor visits using big data. The project, however, failed to predict the 2009 H1N1 flu outbreak."
33. 答案:A
In such unstable situations, the human brain behaves differently. Sometimes, it simply forgets. Instead of getting trapped in irrelevant data, it relies only on the most recent information and makes creative decisions." 故选A。
This mirrored the widespread but incorrect belief that complex problems always need complex solutions. Now, this idea will be laid to rest. As the case of flu predictions illustrates, powerful and simple psychological algorithms can often give more accurate predictions than complex algorithms."
Never share a post without fact checking." D项(通过这种方式,你会更加谨慎)中的this way呼应上文you need to assume that other people aren't perfect and may make mistakes符合语境。故选D项。
Stories coming from only a single source or anonymous sources are more suspect than stories with multiple sources of confirmation." Many important leaks and stories have come from a single anonymous source." Stories coming from only a single source or anonymous sources,符合语境。故选C项。
However, many news groups tailor their content to... a particular perspective." Consequently, the stories are turned into preference with the preconceptions of their target audience."

53. 答案:A
解析:根据第三段中的"as the hospital didn't have a helipad, so I had to be taken by ambulance"可知,因为医院没有直升机停机坪,作者不得不被救护车接走,而不能使用救护直升机,再结合空后的raise 2,000 for a first-aid helipad at Sheffield Children's Hospital可推知,作者受伤就医的曲折经历激励作者为医院筹集资金建设急救停机坪。
54. 答案:D
解析:根据上文the hospital didn't have a helipad和"raise... which has now been"可知,作者筹集资金的目的是为医院建造停机坪现在直升机停机坪已经建成了。
56. 答案:an
故填an。
57. 答案:was released

58. 答案:Editor
和a for...

Dear Ryan,
I hope this email finds you well. I have some thoughts on using AI for grading our English essays.
I believe it's a promising approach that can provide us with more timely feedback. AI can analyze various aspects of our compositions to a certain extent, such as grammar and structure, which can help us correct our mistakes more rapidly.
However, I also think it would be beneficial if you could provide some personalized feedback, especially on the content and creativity of our essays. These are areas where AI might not be as reliable, and your insights would be invaluable in helping us improve our writing skills more effectively.
Thank you for considering my opinions.
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua
第二节
Paragraph 1:
The next day, the Kiebels contacted a no-kill shelter, the League for Animal Welfare. "Both of us are passionate dog lovers, but keeping this pair was out of the question—we already had a family dog," said Gus. They then took the dogs to the shelter to drop them off. on one condition, "I'm not signing the dogs over to you if you're going to separate them," Katie said. The shelter workers promised the Kiebels they'd keep the couple together.
Paragraph 2:
In the days following, the Kiebels visited the shelter repeatedly to see Pepper and Cooper. They were delighted that the couple were taken good care of there. What brought them even more joy was that the dogs were adopted soon after Christmas, as a pair, to a loving family. This story of kindness reflects the best of human nature What began as a cold, lonely night for two abandoned animals became a moment of compassion, reminding us that acts of love can make all the difference, even for those without a voice.
Text 1
M: Getting to work in the morning seems to take longer each day. I was late again this morning.
W: Are you still driving in
M: Yes. The traffic was so bad in the morning. It's just one traffic jam after another on the road.
Text 2
W: Have you noticed that people here in Mexico stand very close together
M: Yes. It's the same in Peru too.
W: It's the opposite in Britain. I was a little uncomfortable here at first. But after a few days, I'm getting used to it.
Text 3
M: Hi, I ordered a book from Justin Lewis last week. I was wondering if it has come in yet. My name is Peter Schneider.
W: Let me check it for you, Mr. Schneider. Yes, the book has arrived this morning and should be ready for you to pick up this afternoon.
Text 4
W: Have you seen Jim since it happened
M: Yes. He was hoping to spend his holiday touring with his football team but he had to pull out.
W: When will he be able to play again
M: It takes months for a broken leg to recover fully.
Text 5
W: I wish I had more time to spend with Lily. She has to go to a babysitter every morning.
M: It's tough when you work so much.
W: Well, sometimes I have to ask my boss for a leave to look after her.
Text 6
M: Did you see that thunderstorm yesterday afternoon The lightning was amazing.
W: I was walking home from football practice when the rain started.
M: It was really heavy.
W: Yeah. When it began I'd just left the sports center, so I was able to go back and take cover inside. I called my mum to say I'd be home late. Anyway, I met a friend who was still there so we just chatted and waited till it was over. Shame I missed seeing the lightning though. I heard it was very impressive.
Text 7
W: Oh, Jeremy, there you are. Have you had a chance to check out the problem I mentioned yesterday I think there's an issue with the heater in the conference room.
M: Ah … not yet. I've been setting up the new workspaces for the part-time workers we recently hired.
W: I'm planning to host our visiting clients in that room this afternoon, so I'll change the location if it's still cold in there.
M: OK. I'll get to the conference room as soon as I finish.
W: Great. And let me know if it can't be fixed by noon.
Text 8
W: Thanks for letting me borrow the tent, Sam.
M: No problem, Tara. I was worried it'd be too small.
W: It was a little tight but we managed. We'll have to get a big one for next time. Anyway, it was a great camping trip!
M: Are you going again soon
W: No, we're practicing our rock climbing for a little while to get into shape.
M: It's great for building strength!Me and Shelly do it at the climbing center just out of town. It's fun solving the puzzle of how to get up, and exciting too!
W: True that! My gym has a practice wall but we'd like to do it in the wild one day!
M: I have a guide I can recommend. He'll take you to the best climbing spot and it has all the equipment too!
W: Great! Do you want to practice together
M: Sure, I'm going with Shelly at 6 pm tonight.
W: Excellent. I'll meet you at the center then!
Text 9
M: So Olivia, tell us how that happened.
W: Well, when I was driving in the mountain road, I took a wrong turning and got completely lost.
M: Was that frightening
W: Yeah. While I was trying to decide how to get back to the main road, some heavy snow started coming down.
M: I was quite certain it wouldn't last long. It was March in Italy.
W: I wasn't worried at first, but I didn't have much petrol left so I switched off the engine. I tried to phone for help but couldn't get through.
M: How did you stay warm With the car heater
W: That meant having the engine on so I only used it a bit. Instead, I got all of my jumpers and trousers from my suitcases and wore them all night. I was still frozen, though, and wished I had some coffee or tea with me.
M: So you spent the whole night inside the car
W: Yes. I managed to contact the emergency services finally. They knew my location from my phone signal. They'd called to ask if I needed an ambulance and luckily I didn't need it, so they just cleared the snow and led me along the road back to the main road.
Text 10
Continuing our broadcast of public service announcements, Worldwide Helpers announces upcoming openings for a number of volunteer worker positions. All applicants must meet the following requirements.
First of all, applicants must be over 18 years of age. The company apologizes, but there can be no exceptions to this rule. Second, people interested in these positions may not have police records. A parking ticket and things like that are, of course, no problem. The employer will, of course, check with the police to confirm your clean record.
In addition, applicants must supply references from pastor present employers or teachers along with their recent CV. These references must be relevant to the applicant's work habits. Remember, these are references from employers or teachers. A note from your dear old mum won't do. Worldwide Helpers assures me that they will contact these references to confirm they are genuine.
Although all positions are volunteers, the employer will cover some of your expenses. For example, they will pay for transportation to and from the job site. Aside from that, the cost of phone calls is covered. But I'm sorry to say that you have to have dinner at your own home.2025届高考考向核心卷

"Why do I need to study math " This is a question I used to ask every time I encountered difficult primary school math questions or every time I did not feel like doing my math homework.
Why did some of the bubbles look like hexagons(六边形) Why didn't I see any star-shaped bubbles
When I learned that math could help answer these questions, I realized math pops up even in our kitchen sink.
Studios like Pixar rely on ideas from geometry(几何学) to bring characters like Ember from Elemental to life. With an understanding of geometric transformations like reflections, rotations and translations, you can use your computer to make your own animated films.
Many high-paying jobs use math, especially probability. Understanding probability helps doctors identify how effective medical treatments will be, informs coaches about ways their teams can improve and aids code experts in keeping private information secret.
Math is so much more than filling out homework problem sets. So next time you kick back to watch your favorite animated movie, or start saving up for a fancy tech device, hopefully, you'll appreciate how math is integrated into so many parts of life.
24. What is many people's common misunderstanding about math
A. It is a very complex subject.
B. It is useless outside of academic settings.
C. Math exams are too challenging for many pupils.
D. Math scores can be boosted greatly through homework.
25. The author's experience with soap bubbles highlights______.
A. the artistic beauty of soap bubbles
B. the role of chemistry in soap bubble formation
C. the unexpected presence of math in daily situations
D. the importance of observation skills in everyday life
26. Why are several examples mentioned in Paragraph 3
A. To emphasize the complexity of some math concepts.
B. To demonstrate the value of foundational math skills.
C. To prove the significance of problem-solving abilities
D. To show the challenges of practical applications of math.
27. What can be the best title for the text
A. Math Is Here, There, and Everywhere
B. How Should Math Be Taught in Schools
C. Math Is Still a Universal but Difficult Language
D. Can Math Help Us Unlock Good Job Opportunities
C
The "butterfly effect" may be real, which is used to describe seemingly insignificant events that can have unplanned consequences. But there might be a more literal "butterfly effect" taking place right before our eyes, scientists suggest.
According to new research, insects actually carry electrical charges which can have enormous effects on the atmosphere, potentially influencing even the weather. The findings were published in the journal Science.
Before you can understand that, you have to understand how electrical charges in the atmosphere work. The Earth's atmosphere always carries an electrical charge to a lesser or greater degree, which scientists refer to as the Potential Gradient (PG). Scientists concluded that atmospheric electricity is primarily driven by natural weather events like thunderstorms and shower clouds, though factors like human pollution also affect it. Researchers, therefore, want to know how electrical charges impact clouds.
To confirm that honeybees carry electrical charges, researchers placed an electrical field monitor near a swarm of honeybees near the University of Bristol. They also placed a control monitor in a field where there were no bee swarms. The monitor near the bee swarm picked up an increase in electrical charge whereas the control monitor detected no such effect, confirming their assumption.
Second, the researchers wanted to calculate the insects' electrical effects on the atmosphere compared to the electrical impacts of natural weather events like clouds and dust storms. They calculated the electrical charge of three different types of insect swarms. Most surprisingly, insects' electrical charges can have just as significant an impact on atmospheric electricity as natural weather events.
The knowledge that insects impact the atmosphere's electricity has bigger implications for science. PG affects the movement of aerosols (气溶液) in the atmosphere, and leads to charging of droplets in some clouds. Insect swarms likely won't drive weather events like thunderstorms, but they could impact the movement of these atmospheric aerosols.
Further research will dive into this previously unexplored field of scientific research and may go beyond insects, since organisms like birds and microbes also carry electrical charges.
28. What does the underlined word "that" in paragraph 3 refer to
A. The background of the research.
B. The publication of journal Science.
C. The work of electrical charges in atmosphere.
D. The electrical effects of insects on atmosphere.
29. How did researchers conduct the process of experiments
A. By using statistics. B. By analyzing causes.
C. By introducing concepts. D. By making comparisons.
30. Which has the least electrical effects on the atmosphere's electricity
A. Human pollution. B. Shower clouds.
C. The thunderstorms. D. The insect swarms.
31. What can we learn about the research from the passage
A. Insect swarms are likely to drive thunderstorms.
B. Human activities lead to charging of droplets.
C. Both PG and insect swarms affect the movement of atmospheric aerosols.
D. Researchers have made controlled experiment on birds.

Machine learning sees reasoning as a categorization task with a fixed set of predetermined labels. It views the world as a fixed space of possibilities, calculating and weighing them all. This approach, of course, has achieved notable successes when applied to stable and well-defined situations such as chess or computer games. When such conditions are absent, however, machines struggle.
In 2008, Google launched Flu Trends, a web service that aimed to predict flu-related doctor visits using big data. The project, however, failed to predict the 2009 H1N1 flu outbreak. After several unsuccessful adjustments to its algorithm(算法), Coogle finally stopped the project in 2015.
In such unstable situations, the human brain behaves differently. Sometimes, it imply forgets. Instead of getting trapped in irrelevant data, it relies only on the, most recent information and makes creative decisions. This is a feature called intelligent forgetting. Adopting this approach, an algorithm that relies on a single data point would have reduced Google Flu Trends' prediction error by half.
Intelligent forgetting is just one dimension of psychological AI, an approach to machine intelligence that also includes other features of human intelligence such as causal reasoning, intuitive(直觉) psychology, and physics. Soon, this approach to AI will finally be recognized as fundamental for solving poorly-defined problems. Exploring these amazing features of the human brain will finally allow us to make machine learning smart.
One feature of psychological AI is that it is explainable. Until recently, researchers assumed that the more transparent an AI system was, the less accurate its predictions were. This mirrored the widespread but incorrect belief that complex problems always need complex solutions. Now, this idea will be laid to rest. As the case of flu predictions illustrates, powerful and simple psychological algorithms can often give more accurate predictions than complex algorithms. Psychological AI opens up a new vision for explainable AI: Instead of trying to explain complex systems, we can check first if psychological AI offers a simple and equally accurate solution.
Without the help of human psychology, it will become clearer that the application of this type of machine learning to unstable situations eventually runs up against impassable limitations. We will finally recognize that more computing power makes machines faster. Not smarter.
32. Why is Flu Trends mentioned
A. To clarify a concept. B. To tell the serious outbreak
C. To support the author's idea D. To provide readers with the truth.
33. What is the advantage of human brain according to the passage
A. It can think outside the box. B. It can avoid unclear problems.
C. It is capable of learning over time. D. It is good at following instructions.
34. Which has the similar meaning with the underlined word "transparent" in Paragraph 5
A. Similar. B. Unique. C. Complete. D. Clear.
35. What does the author intend to tell us
A. AI speeds up the computing greatly.
B. Psychological AI can make smarter AI.
C. AI system works well in stable situations.
D. AI will outperform the human brain someday.

Misinformation and other attempts at misleading the public are common on social media. 36
●Never share a post without fact checking.
This is especially true if it comes from a source you trust. If you want to spread truth, you need to assume that other people aren't perfect and may make mistakes. 37
●Look for the sources.
Mainstream news is as good as the sources it relies on. Stories coming from only a single source or anonymous(匿名的) sources are more suspect than stories with multiple sources of confirmation. 38 Many important leaks and stories have come from single anonymous sources.
●Consider the story's agenda.
Stories are influenced by the agendas of their writers. News organizations typically operate for money, and part of their brand (and thus their profits) lies in their accuracy. However, many news groups tailor their content to particular sections of customers, and thus are more likely to cover stories with a particular perspective. 39 Consequently, the stories are turned into preference with the preconceptions of their target audience.

B. This can weaken their accuracy.
C. It doesn't mean that they are false.
D. In this way you will be more cautious.
E. Don't discount stories that play to emotions.
F. The following tips may help you surf the Internet safely.
G. Here are some suggestions on how to separate yourself from misinformation.

On a snowy night in midwinter, a couple wandered along a rural highway in Ohio, seeking shelter. The father-to-be scanned the roadside for some home or some inn, where his struggling companion might rest safely for the night. He looked over at her frequently. She labored along without complaint, her way made heavier by the new life growing inside her. They needed a warm, dry place safe from the bitter wind. When her time came, it must not be out here along the roadway.
Their names were not Mary and Joseph, but Pepper and Cooper. Nor were they man and wife, but rather a pair of dogs.
Gus Kiebel, a county wildlife officer, was driving home from work when he spotted the pair in the flash of his headlights. Curious and concerned, Gus pulled over and approached the dogs, which made no effort to escape. They were both wearing collars with tags, so he bent down and read their names—Pepper and Cooper—before attempting to call the number listed. The snowfall was so thick that his phone screen became too wet to work properly, so Gus decided to take the dogs into his truck for warmth.
Once inside, the dogs quickly climbed onto the passenger seat, snuggling together for comfort. Gus took a photo and sent it to his wife, Katie, before calling the number on the tags again. Then he called the listed number on the tags again. Then he called the listed number and a man answered the phone, but when Gus explained that he had found the dogs, the man quickly distanced himself from the situation. "I gave them away," he said. It became clear to Gus that the dogs had been abandoned.
No home for the dogs at all in this world! Gus looked over at them, their large eyes pleading. Gus called Katie. "You cannot put them back out in the snowstorm," she said. "Bring them home."
The Kiebels prepared a bed for the dogs on their warm enclosed porch, also setting out food and water. The exhausted animals lay together, Cooper periodically lifting his head to fuss over Pepper.
