(3)waste
1. n. 废弃物(不可数名词)、浪费(可与冠词a连用)
It's a waste to throw good food away. 把好好的食物扔掉太浪费了。
2. v. 浪费

3. adj. 废弃的,无用的

(4)used to 过去常常;以前经常(后跟动词原形)
1. used to do sth. 过去经常做某事(描述过去经常发生的事情或存在的状态)

2. be used to do sth. 被用来做某事 (=be used for doing sth.)
3. be/get used to doing sth. 习惯于做某事 (后跟名词、代词、动名词)

(5)finally adv. 终于(=at last/in the end)
既可位于句首,也可位于句中

(6)agree with 赞成;同意

四、重点语法
(1)一般过去时
1. 概念
描述过去某个时间里发生的动作或状态;过去习惯性、经常性的动作、行为。
常与一般过去时搭配的时间状语:
① yesterday/morning/afternoon/evening(昨天早上/下午/晚上)
② last + 时间名词:last week/month/year(上周/上个月/去年)
③ 一段时间+ago:two days ago(两天前),three years ago(三年前)
④ 具体的过去时间点: at 8 o'clock yesterday(昨天 8 点)
I visited my grandparents last Sunday. 我上周日去看望了我的祖父母。
2. 句式结构
1> 含有be动词的一般过去时:主语+was/were+表语
肯定形式:主语 + was/were + 表语。
I was a doctor one year ago.一年前我是一名医生。
否定形式:主语 + was/were + not + 表语。
I wasn't a doctor teacher one year ago. 一年前我不是一名医生。
一般疑问句形式:Was/Were+主语+表语。
Were you a doctor one year ago 一年前你是一名医生吗
特殊疑问句形式:疑问词+was/were+主语+其它
What were you one year ago 一年前你是做什么的
2>含有实义动词(行为动词)的一般过去时:主语+动词的过去时+其它
肯定形式:主语+动词的过去时+其它。
I bought a yellow dress yesterday afternoon.
昨天下午我买了一条黄裙子。
否定形式:主语+did+not+动词原形+其他(did not 缩写didn't)
I didn't buy a yellow dress yesterday afternoon.
昨天下午我没买黄裙子。
一般疑问句形式:Did+主要+动词原形+其他
Did you buy a yellow dress yesterday afternoon
昨天下午你买了条黄裙子吗
特殊疑问句形式:特殊疑问句+did+主要+动词原形+其他

3. 用法
1> 表示在过去某个时间所发生的动作或所处的状态(与现在无关) 。
常与yesterday, last week, in 2000, just now, a moment ago, the other day等过去具体时间状语连用。
What did you do yesterday 你昨天做了什么事
2> 在过去一段时间内的经常性或习惯性动作。
We often played together when we were children.
我们小时候常在一起玩。
3> 表示主语过去的特征或性格
At that time she was very good at English.
那时她英语学得很好。
4> 一般过去时有时可以表示现在,多与want, hope, wonder, think, intend 等动词连用,使语气更委婉
I wondered if you could help me. 不知你能不能帮我一下。
5> 有时用一般过去时也是时态一致的需要
I didn’t know you were here. 没想到你在这里。
4. 动词过去式变化
1> 系动词be 的过去式有两种形式:
was(am和is的过去式) 和were(are的过去式)
2> 实义动词的过去时分规则动词的过去时和不规则动词的过去时的两种。
3> 规则动词的过去时变化规则:
(1) 一般在动词后加-ed:offer—offered, weigh—weighed,
(2) 在以字母e结尾的动词后,只加-d:provide—provided, hate—hated
(3) 在以“辅音字母+y”结尾的动词后,则改y为i,再加ed:supply—supplied, fly—flied
(4) 在以单短元音的重读闭音节结尾且末尾只有一个辅音字母的动词后,双写最后一个辅音字母,
再加-ed:refer—referred, regret—regretted

Friday, 13 April
It was sunny today. All of our classmates went on a school trip. We visited the Green Farm and it was great fun.
We met at the school gate at 7:00 a.m., and then we went to the farm by bus. When we arrived there, the farm workers gave us a warm welcome. Then one of the workers showed us around the farm. He also taught us how to pick apples. We learned a lot about farming.
At noon, we had a picnic. We enjoyed ourselves in the sun, singing, dancing and flying kites. We did love the fresh air and the beauty of nature. We also took lots of photos.
All in all, it was really a day to remember.
