5W1H (Who, What, When, Where, Why, How),但干扰项可能混杂在后文的补充细节中。
例:导语:“A new recycling program will launch in Wuxi next month to reduce plastic waste.”干扰项:可能提及“last year’s program”或“other cities’ policies”,需排除无关信息。
难点:新闻语言高度凝练,答案常通过同义词替换或数据改写呈现(如原文用 **"reduce carbon emissions by 30%",选项可能表述为 "cut greenhouse gases to 70% of the original level"**)。
The city plans to build three new solar power stations by 2026.”
Three renewable energy projects will be established in the next three years.”
Experts warn that delaying climate action could lead to irreversible damage.”
Wuxi aims to become a ‘zero-waste city’ by promoting waste sorting and recycling.”
首段聚焦 5W1H (如事件、时间、地点、原因);
根据题干关键词(如 **"purpose", "challenge"**)定位到对应段落;
What is the main challenge of the recycling program ”
However, some residents lack awareness of waste sorting."**
事实类信息(数据、政策)直接匹配原文;
The program has solved all pollution problems.”
答案需符合新闻客观性(如不选主观臆断选项);
本地热点:无锡环保举措(如太湖治理)、文化活动(如太湖湾音乐节);
科技前沿:新能源应用(如氢能源公交)、智慧城市建设(如AI交通管理);

图表结合题:新闻配图表(如柱状图显示空气质量变化),需图文对照答题;
增加“隐性数据对比”:选项可能混淆原文中的百分比或时间范围;
环保类:recycle, carbon emission, sustainable development;
科技类:AI application, renewable energy, smart city;
政策类:policy implementation, public awareness.

On January 28, 2025, a special performance called YangBOT amazed audiences at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. Directed by famous filmmaker Zhang Yimou, the show mixed traditional Chinese yangko dance with modern robot technology.
In the performance, robots dressed in colorful costumes danced yangko, a joyful folk dance from northern China often seen during festivals. They moved handkerchiefs (手帕) quickly and formed creative group patterns (图案). These robots were developed by Unitree, a Chinese robotics company. This was not Unitree’ s first success—in 2021, their robot cows named “Ben Ben” danced for singer Andy Lau.
The robots learned dance moves through AI and used laser navigation (激光导航) to move safely on the stage. Their strong joints (like knees with 360N·m power) helped them balance perfectly during fast steps. Zhang Yimou explained, “This dance isn’t just fun—it shows how technology can bring new life to traditions.”
Thanks to these innovations, the robots won the hearts of millions. On social media, topics like “RobotYangko” spread quickly. Young viewers called it “cool”, while older audiences loved its humor. The YangBOT program is a perfect mix of China’s tech progress and cultural pride. As one fan said, “It’s like watching the future and past dance together!”
1.What did the robots wear during the YangBOT performance
A.Traditional Chinese hanfu. B.Colorful costumes.

Fiona McIntyre is a taxi driver in London. She tells us about her work and some of her experiences.
Q: When did you start
I’ve been a taxi driver for about five years. Before that I was a bus driver in London, and I enjoyed it, but I wanted more freedom so I changed and started driving my taxi.
Q: Have you ever had any famous passengers
Oh yes. I’ve had film stars, politicians, you know, lots of famous people. About a year ago, a really famous actor got in my taxi. I took him to the airport. We were stuck on the way and it took a long time to get there, so he missed his plane and failed to meet his fans. It wasn’t my mistake but when he got out of the taxi, he shouted at me angrily! I said to him, ‘Next time, take a bus!”
Q: Have passengers ever left anything in your taxi
Oh yes! People have left all kinds of things—a suitcase, a hat, mobile phones, of course, even a dog once! Years ago, a woman left a pair of shoes on the seat. And one time a passenger let his teeth here! Not real teeth, of course—false teeth.
And people have asked me to do some strange jobs. Once a doctor stopped me outside a hospital and asked me to take a skeleton to another hospital. Professors usually use skeletons to teach medical students, you know. And I did. But I asked him to pay first—the skeleton couldn’t pay after all!
Q: What do you think is the worst part of your job
Good question. I’ve always enjoyed being a taxi driver and I don’t want to change. But of course, sometimes, it’s not great. I don’t like driving around without a passenger, but it’s better than just waiting at the airport or at a railway station. I think that’s the worst part—waiting.
1.The famous actor missed his plane because ________.
A.Fiona didn’t drive well B.Fiona wasn’t very polite
C.there were too many fans D.there was too much traffic
2.The underlined (划线的) word “him” in Fiona’s answer to the third question refers to ________.
A.the skeleton B.the doctor C.the professor D.the student
3.According to the interview, which of the following is NOT TRUE
A.Fiona has worked as a taxi driver since five years ago.
B.Sometimes passengers may leave their pets in Fiona’s taxi.
C.Fiona prefers just waiting to driving around without a passenger.
D.Fiona doesn’t think that the famous actor was polite.

An exhibition in Baoji, Shaanxi, shows how pillows (枕头) can be much more than just places to put our heads while we sleep. The exhibition shows 121 ancient pillows from the Western Han Dynasty until early 20th century.
“These pillows, made using different kinds of materials and designs, are not just daily things but also artistic creations with cultural and historical value,” says Guo Jing, director of the exhibition. “They show lively social situations from different periods and interesting folk cultures, and include memories of the past. We hope that these historical objects help visitors enter the world of the ancients,” she says.
There are a few opinions as to the habit that hard pillows were preferred in the ancient time, rather than soft. One idea is that a gentleman’s quality was compared to jade (玉) and, as such, should be of a similar feel. Another is that hard pillows better support the neck, balance the head and improve blood circulation (循环) in the eyes and are good for the eyes.
Li Ming, who visited the exhibition says, “It really surprised me when hearing there are medical accounts suggesting that hard pillows are good for our eyes. I want to try it myself. It’s interesting that we can learn about ancient social conditions and customs through pillows. It’s like seeing a big world through a small object.”

Men won the Nobel Prizes in science most of the time in the past. But this year, women became the main characters!
Jennifer Doudna from the US and Emmanuelle Chapentier from France shared the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. It’s the first time in history for two women to win the prize without having to share it with a man. At the same time, US astronomer Andrea Ghez became the fourth woman to win a Nobel Prize in Physics, which she shared with two other scientists. Its first female winner was Marie Curie in 1903.
Doudna and Charpentier got the prize because they developed CRISPR/Cas9 genetic scissors, a technology that can rewrite DNA in the cells of plants, animals and micro-organisms. It has had a “great effect on the life sciences”, according to the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. For example, it can help us develop crops that can fight against some natural disasters. It could also help treat some serious diseases in the future.
On hearing that they were the sixth and seventh women to win the Chemistry Prize, Charpentier said that she hopes girls and young female scientists will understand that “nothing is impossible and women can find great discoveries just as men do”.
Ghez, who was awarded for her research on black hole, had the same feeling. “I’m happy to be part of the change where more women succeed. I think that’s an important way in which we encourage the other girls and women scientists,” Ghez said. In addition to her research, she was also one of the authors of the 2006 children’s book You Can Be a Women Astronomer.
1.What does Paragraph 3 focus on
A.How they did their research.
B.Why they were given the prize.
C.What they found in their research.
D.How winning the prize has made a difference in their lives.
2.What does Ghez think about winning a Nobel Prize
A.It will change her life in a big way.
B.It proves that nothing is impossible.
C.It shows that women are more successful than men.
D.It can encourage the other girls and women scientists.
3.What do we know from the story
A.There were seven female Nobel Prize winners in total.
B.Ghez shared the Nobel Prize in Physics with at least one man.
C.More women are working as chemists than astronomers.
D.Ghez will write a children’s book about winning the prize.

C.Fiona prefers just waiting to driving around without a passenger.
