Have a debate on the pros and cons of using emojis
Emojis , the symbols to take the place of words, phrases and sometimes sentences on the Internet , has become part of life. In all kinds of software as well as in devices, people will find Emojis . Just like any new inventions of communication, using emojis has its pros and cons.
Samples
On the pros side, Emojis do facilitate communication between people. With them ,people don’t have to type as many words as they did before, which saves time and makes interaction smoother, eaiser and more interesting . Besides, emojis can not only help people express their feelings when they can’t find the appropriate words ,but they can also add emotional meaning so that readers can “see” the facial expressions while reading them.
Samples
On the cons side, using too many emojis or inappropriate emojis have a tendency to downgrade the quality of communication , even causing misunderstanding. What’s worse, using emojis frequently may contribute to losing the ability to communicate properly using written word . Additionally, it is necessary for users to consider the situation where they can’t use emojis , e.g. working environment, to avoid being messed and confusing.
Samples
In conclusion , people must weigh the situation before deciding whether using them or not, so instead of using emojis arbitrarily, people must first and foremost evaluate the situation ,or they won’t get the desired effect.
