Safer Internet Day is on the second Tuesday of February every year. On this day, people in around 170 countries take part in activities to try to make the Internet a safer place for children and young people.
Safer Internet Day celebrates all the great things about being online. We can use the Internet to learn new things, video call family members who live far away, chat to friends, listen to music, watch videos and play games. But there can also be dangers when we are online. Sometimes someone uses the Internet to make another person feel bad, often with bad messages on messaging apps or social media (社交媒体). Sometimes some game players post unkind messages in the chat box. On Safer Internet Day in the UK, children do activities at school, at home, in youth groups and in other places.

*Don’t meet people who you only know online. It’s possible that people you meet online aren’t really who they say they are. It can be unsafe to go to meet them in real life.

根据短文内容回答问题。
“I don’t like my parents. They always tell me that I should do this and should not do that. It sometimes makes me angry,” said Zhang Hua, a middle school student in Guangzhou. Do you have the same problem Perhaps your parents had the same problem when they were young. Why aren’t some parents so friendly in their children’s eyes
One of the most important reasons is when someone becomes a parent, he/she often worries about things. Since you were born (出生), your parents have worried about everything about you. They do a lot for you. Though something would make you angry, they care about you and worry about you. They worry about your choice (选择) of friends, the food you eat, your study at school, how much sleep you get and so on. All these things are part of your life, because they want you to grow up healthily and happily.
So how can you make things easier on yourself It’s easier than you think. Just make sure your parents know what you’re doing. Get them to know your friends. Phone them if you get home later than usual. Say sorry to them when you make mistakes. Talk about your ideas with them and they may talk about theirs with you.
Most of all, try to think why your parents do this or do that. They are still practicing being parents and need help that you can give them. When you become a parent, they may be able to help you learn how to get on with your children.

Put our free time to good use
Thanks to the “double reduction” policy, we have more free time than before. How should we put the time to good use Here are some of my ideas.
First, we should often do volunteer work in our free time. For example, we can clean up the neighborhood. We can also tell stories to children in the neighborhood and help the weak. Second, we can help our parents do chores, such as sweeping the floor, taking out the rubbish. Doing chores can help us develop our independence. Besides, we can learn to take care of ourselves. Third, we should try to keep a good relationship with our parents. In our free time, we should communicate more with our parents and argue less. In order to understand each other, we should spend more time with parents. Finally, we should try to improve ourselves. We can do exercise more and read more books like some famous classics. Also, we can listen to music to make our free time more meaningful.
All in all, the policy is good for us because we can have more time to do whatever we want.
