Using filters (滤镜) is common among young people on social media. Filters can make people look more beautiful and even add funny effects (效果). However, TikTok is making some changes.
In November 2024, TikTok said that users under 18 won’t be able to use beauty filters that change their features ways makeup (化妆品) can’t. But don’t worry. Funny filters like animal ears will still be allowed.
Beauty filters can hurt people’s mental health, according to the BBC. The Big Earthquake in Myanmar (缅甸)
On March 28th, a strong 7.9-magnitude earthquake hit Myanmar. The ground shook hard, and people got really scared. Some people ran out of their homes quickly, not knowing what to do.
The earthquake happened because two big pieces of the Earth, the Indian plate and the Eurasian plate (亚欧板块), pushed against each other. This pushing made a lot of energy over time. When the energy let out, the ground started to shake. The earthquake happened along the Sagaing Fault (实皆断裂带), which is like a big crack in the Earth.
