Getting around is an enjoyable activity in which you can relax and find pleasure. However, tourism is also causing problems to many cultural treasures. To better protect them, workers in Mogao Grottoes(莫高窟) are asked to do research and decide how many daily visitors they can safely receive. Let's take a closer look.
Over many centuries, the ancient rocks that make up these grottoes slowly broke because of the acidic(酸性的)chemicals in air and water. When they are open to the public, the situation becomes worse. Volunteer Work
I took part in a lot of volunteer activities in my school this term. One of the most unforgettable ones was cleaning Lanzhou Wuquanshan Park. We collected rubbish, cleaned the leaves, and made the park tidy and nice. It was tiring but when I saw the clean park, I had a strong feeling of achievement. I also volunteered at the Gansu Children's Hospital. I read stories to the sick children, which brought smiles to their faces. I was very happy that I could help them. Finally, I also worked as a tour guide for the Gansu Museum. I learned a lot of knowledge there and had a pleasant time.
These volunteer activities made me realize that even small efforts can make a big difference. They taught me the worth of helping others. I'll keep doing volunteer work in the future.
