The weather affects（影响）health. In August, it is very hot in the south of the United States. People there easily have heart problems and other kinds of health problems. In the North and the Middle West, it is hot at some times and very cold at other times. People in those states are easy to have heart problems in February or March.
The weather affects people's feelings. Winter can be a bad time for thin people. They usually feel cold during these months. They can feel depressed (抑郁的)during cold weather. In hot summer weather, fat people may feel unhappy.
Low air pressure（低气压）makes people feel free, but on low pressure days, people leave more bags and umbrellas on buses and in stores.
The weather can also influence IQ. In a study, the IQ scores（智商分数）of some students were very high during a storm（暴风雨）, but after the storm, their scores were low. Students in many schools of the United States usually do badly in tests in the hot months of the year (July and August).
