What’s chain story

A chain story is a collaborative storytelling game or activity where multiple participants take turns adding to a narrative, each contributing a segment to continue the plot. The story evolves unpredictably as different writers introduce new twists, characters, or events based on the previous contributions.
接龙故事是一种多人合作的讲故事游戏或活动,参与者轮流为一个故事添砖加瓦,每个人贡献一段情节以延续故事的发展。随着不同的作者根据之前的创作引入新的转折、角色或事件,故事的发展变得难以预测。

a chain story

Start with an Opening Sentence:
One person begins the story with a single sentence to set the scene or introduce a character.
Example: "It was a sunny day when Lily decided to take a walk through a park."

Take Turns Adding Sentences:
The next person adds one or two sentences to continue the story. They can introduce new characters, describe the setting, or advance the plot.
Example: "Suddenly,the weather became dark, something strange happened... "

Keep the Story Flowing:
Each contributor should try to build on what came before, keeping the story coherent and interesting.
Example: "she heard a rustling in the park. Her heartbeat was very fast. She want to know to see what was there"

As the story progresses, you might learn something new about the characters or the plot. Use these insights to shape the story.
