“The Stone in the Road” is an old fable about a king who wanted to teach villagers a lesson, so he puts a large stone in the middle of the road and hides to see if anyone will try to move it.

The story’s purpose is to tell us that when meeting with problems we should not complain and expect others to solve them. In fact,what we should do is to face and solve our problems in our daily life.

I think the story is worth reading because it tells us that those who benefit others will eventually benefit themselves. What impresses me most is the girl moved the stone with all her might and we will be also a kind, responsible and polite men.
