What do you know about sense groups
When we read a sentence, we often pause in the middle. Usually, these pauses are made according to the grammatical structure of the sentence. 当我们读一个句子时，我们经常在在中间停顿。通常，这些停顿是根据句子的语法结构制作。

Grammatically, a sentence is made up of several parts and each has its own meaning. These parts are called sense groups.
从语法上讲，一个句子由几个部分组成，每个部分都有自己的含义。这些部分被称为感觉群。
Sense groups 意群
A sense group can be a word, a phrase (noun phrase, verb phrase and prepositional phrase, etc.) or a clause. We often use the slash sign (/) to separate different sense groups in a sentence.
一个意群可以是一个单词、一个短语（名词短语、动词短语和介词短语等）或一个从句。我们经常使用斜线（/）来分隔句子中的不同意群。

三、划分依据
①语法结构：根据句子的成分来划分，如主语、谓语、宾语等。
举例：The boy / likes to play / basketball.
说明：这个句子被划分为三个意群，分别是“The boy”（主语）、“likes to play”（谓语部分）、“basketball”（宾语）。这样划分有助于理解主语是谁，他做了什么，以及他的动作对象是什么。
举例：My favorite subject / is English / because it’s interesting and useful.
说明：三个意群，分别是“My favorite subject”（主语）、“is English”（谓语和宾语）、“because it’s interesting and useful”（原因状语从句）。有助于理解句子的主要内容和附加信息（即原因）。
②语义联系：考虑词之间的语义联系，将意义相关的词划分为一个意群。
举例：Last week, / we went to the zoo / and saw many animals.
说明：这个句子包含了一个时间状语“Last week”和两个并列的谓语部分“went to the zoo”和“saw many animals”。通过划分意群，可以更清晰地看出句子的时间顺序和主要动作。
③标点符号：标点符号也可以作为划分意群的参考。
