1.语言基础：学生已掌握关于动物的核心词汇，如cat, dog, bird, tiger, elephant, bear, strong, big, short, tall等，并能运用核心句型“What are they They’re…”来询问和回答动物的种类及特征。
2.学习能力：三年级学生活泼好动，对新知识充满渴望。他们需要通过丰富而真实的语境进行口语表达、角色扮演和实践活动，以在参与和体验中感受和运用语言。
3.生活经验：学生对动物类话题较为熟悉，对神秘的野生动物尤其感兴趣，具有强烈的好奇心和探索欲。
二、教材分析
本课时以绘本故事为载体，讲述法国女孩Tippi与野生动物友好相处的故事。该故事旨在帮助学生继续学习与动物相关的语言知识，并引导学生体会人与动物之间的友谊，学会关爱动物、与动物和谐相处。
三、教学目标
通过本课时的学习，学生能够：
1.能在图片环游、预测、推理、朗读故事等活动中，理解故事大意，梳理语言知识。
2.能利用故事图和核心语言复述故事，体会 Tippi 与动物间的深厚情谊。
3.能仿照配图故事，介绍自己身边的动物朋友。
四、教学难点及解决措施
难点：体会Tippi和动物间的深厚情谊，感受人与动物和谐相处的美好.
解决措施：在教师的引导下，学生在阅读、复述故事等活动中体会角色感受，通过介绍身边的动物将情景延伸到真实情境，感受人与动物和谐相处的美好。
五、教学过程
Step 1 lead-in
1.学生使用已学语言与教师打招呼。参考语言：Hello, Good morning.
2.学生欣赏绘本《Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see 》，请学生回答问题： What can you see in this book Which animals do you like Why 以此激活话题，并引入本课主题“动物绘本”及其主人公Tippi。（由此，教师可根据动物这一话题将学生分为两组进行竞争，详情参考“竞争机制图示ppt”）
Step 2 Presentation
1. 学生观看视频，整体感知文本内容，验证预测并回答问题：“Who are Tippi’s friends ”
2. 学生听图片2的音频，回答问题：“What is it What is his name What are his characteristics ”以了解大象Abu的相关信息。
3.学生阅读图片3-5，独立完成连线任务，了解Tippi其他动物朋友的特点。在教师的带领下，学生逐图了解Linda, Leno和Mufasa的相关信息，学习单词ostrich，fast, chameleon, small, lion, cute，并通过视频了解鸵鸟奔跑的速度，同时通过自然拼读感知字母组合ast, all的发音。
4. 学生思考并讨论：“How does Tippi describe her friends from which aspects ” 在教师的引领下，学生总结出Tippi主要从动物种类、姓名、特点等方面介绍动物，并学习句型“This is… He is a/an… He/she is…”。
5. 学生思考并讨论：“Why does Tippi use ‘he’ or ‘she’ ” 通过讨论，学生体会主人公Tippi对动物朋友的爱与关心，以及他们之间的深厚情谊。此时，教师进行情感渗透：“We should protect them. We should love them.”
Step 3 Practice
1.学生指一指图片，听录音跟读模仿，注意语音语调。
2.学生自读课文，注意表现出Tippi对动物的喜爱之情，并完成自评。
3.学生画一画Tippi的其中一个动物朋友，并写一段描述，完成后同桌互查。
4.学生两人一组，结合图片和句子，在教师的指导下合作复述本节课的故事内容。
Step 4 Production
1.请学生四人一组，分享自己身边的动物朋友，介绍它们的品种、姓名、特征等信息。鼓励学生谈一谈与这些动物朋友接触或相处的经历。可以先请学生分组讨论，随后在全班进行分享。
