动名词作主语的特征和用法
1)动词-ing形式作主语时通常表示抽象的、一般性的、习惯性的动作或状态,且作主语时谓语动词通常用单数形式。

注意
1.句型"There is no doing…"表示“不允许、禁止某种行为的发生或存在”时,需用动词-ing形式作主语。

2.句型"There is no point/sense (in) doing sth."表示 “做……是没有意义的” ,需用动词-ing形式作主语。
