知识梳理
一、一般过去时的用法
一般过去时表示在过去的某个时间内发生的动作或存在的状态。
时间标志词：yesterday， yesterday＋morning/afternoon/evening， last＋night/week/year， ago， before， the day before yesterday， just now等。如：
I went to the supermarket yesterday. 昨天我去了超市。
Mr Green was a teacher five years ago. 五年前格林先生是一名教师。
The students finished their homework just now. 刚刚学生们完成了他们的作业。
二、动词过去式的变化规则
1. 规则变化
规 则 举 例
一般情况下，直接在动词后加-ed work→worked, listen→listened
以不发音的字母e结尾的动词，在动词后加-d live→lived, close→closed
以辅音字母加y结尾的动词，把y改为i，再加-ed cry→cried, study→studied

三、一般过去时的句型结构

肯定句 主语+was/were+其他. I was at home last night. 昨晚我在家。

主语+动词过去式+其他. They went to the park yesterday. 昨天他们去了公园。

【例】Read and fill. 用括号内所给单词的适当形式填空。

考查一般过去时的用法

解析:本题考查动词的过去式。1、2小题中的时间词分别为last Friday 和last night，都是过去的时间，故而动词用过去式。同时，it为第三人称单数，要选用正确的be动词过去式。
