Dear mom and dad,
My cousin and I traveled across Canada by train from the west to the east. We saw many things from the train on the way across, especially in the cities of Toronto and Montreal.
We started in Vancouver where we went shopping for gifts and then went hiking. When passing through the Rocky Mountains on the train, we saw awesome scenery, such as massive mountains, blue water as well as diverse creatures. Later, the train headed across the great Canadian Pairie. It is here that we truly understand the reputation of Canada for being a wheat-growing country.
Sample writing:
In Toronto, we went up the CN Tower, seeing the mist rising from Niagara Falls and old-fashioned cars rolling by. Then we saw a Chinatown and had dinner at the Pink Pearl restaurant.
When we arrived in Montreal the next day, many signs and ads in French caught our eyes. Afterwards, we went to Old Montreal and sat in a typical café beside the broad St Lawrence River, enjoying its exceptional beauty.
There are so many things to see in Canada on one trip. We saw only a few of them, but we think we will go back for another visit.
Love you,
Daiyu
