Hi, I'm Tom, a 13-year-old boy. I'd like to talk about today's weather and people's activities in Xi'an. It's July 10th. It's sunny and hot, and the temperature is around 32°C.Let's take a look at what people are doing now.
It's too hot to go outside, so some people are staying in to spend a cool day. Look! They are lying on the sofa and eating ice cream. What a happy moment! Some people are doing some cleaning at home. It's tiring, but they feel glad to see the clean and tidy home. However, many people are still outside. They are having a great time. Look! Some girls are going shopping in the mall. They doesn't seem tired at all. Instead, they are in high spirits. Other boys are play in the water happily. Although it's hot and they get wet, they still feel excited.

Point
1. The rain is pouring down. (教材P47 2a)
pour作不及物动词，意为“ (雨)倾盆而下；下大雨” 与 pour down 同义。
如：It’s pouring outside. 外面下着瓢泼大雨。
The rain kept pouring down. 大雨哗哗地下个不停。
[谚]It never rains but it pours. 不雨则已，一雨倾盆。/祸不单行。
【拓展】(1) 作动词，意为“倾倒；倒出” ， pour ... into ... 把…倒入…pour ... over ... 把…倒在…上面
如：Clean the pot and pour some water into the pot.
把锅洗干净,往锅里倒些水。
Pour the sauce over the pasta. 把酱汁浇在意大利面上。
如：I was in the kitchen, pouring out drinks. 我在厨房里倒饮料。
