tourists asked me the way to the history museum. I didn't

anything 为复合不定代词
(1)复合不定代词定义:由some-, any-, no-, every-加上-one, -body, -thing, -where, -time所组成的不定代词, 用来替代人或物。
e.g. someone, something, anyone, anything, ...

(2)常考点:
1)当形容词修饰复合不定代词时，形容词要放在复合不定代词后面。
e.g. I have something important to tell you.
我有一些重要的事要告诉你。
2)当复合不定代词做主语时，谓语动词用单数形式。

3)大多数情况下，some-不定代词常用于肯定句中，而any-不定代词常用于否定句，疑问句中。

(1) There be 句型一般过去时的肯定式和否定式
表示过去某地或某时存在某人或某物，陈述句由 “There was/were+主语+其他”构成。There was后接单数名词/不可数名词; There were 后接复数名词。否定式在 was 或 were 的后面加 not,缩写为 wasn’t或 weren’t。
e.g. There was(wasn’t) a car under the tree a moment ago.
刚才这棵树下(没)有一辆小轿车。
e.g. There were(weren’t) two foreign teachers in our school last year.
去年我们学校(没)有两名外教。
(2) There be 句型一般过去时的一般疑问式及其回答
一般疑问句将动词 was 或 were 放在 there 之前。
肯定回答用“Yes, there was/were.”;否定回答用“No,there wasn’t/weren’t.”

①make use of sth. 表示利用，使用
