movement, having led India to independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. People called him “mahatma”, a meaning of "Great Soul". His proposition of non-violent make a great effect on people’s movement for right and peace.

Gandhi could have get a Nobel Peace Prize, but at the year of his death, the Noble Peace Prize could not find a right awardee, and have not given away at that year, that was a great pity. He has had great influences on the world today, his life and teachings inspired many who regarded Gandhi as their mentor or dedicated their lives to spreading Gandhi's ideas, including leaders of the civil rights movement in the United States, like Martin Luther King and James Lawson, drew from the Gandhi’s writings in the development of their own theories about non-violence.
His passionate, but non-violent protests, helped to raise awareness of racial inequalities in America, leading to significant political change. Martin Luther King was also an eloquent orator who captured the imagination and hearts of people, both black and white.
Martin Luther King Jr was one of America’s most influential civil rights activists.
he could offer a vision of hope. He captured the injustice of the time but also felt that this injustice was like a passing cloud. His speeches were largely free of revenge, instead focusing on the need to move forward. He was named as Man of the Year by Time magazine in 1963, it followed his famous and iconic “I Have a Dream Speech”.
