Mr Jenkins helped Graham find his interest and strengths. e.g. Mr Jenkins set up experiments to attract Graham’s attention in the first class. He gave Graham chances to present his interest and boosted his confidence.

I totally agree to this point. When students are truly
motivated by a teacher, their mind is open to the teacher not
only to acquire information but also to get deeply influenced
by the teacher.
