Last weekend I went camping with my dad and my brother, Jim. We took a tent, sleeping bags, flashlights, water and food. We reached the campsite (营地) on Saturday afternoon. There was enough room to build a campfire. Jim and I collected some dry leaves, small sticks and Dad started a campfire. Then we cooked potatoes and cabbages for our supper and had some apple cakes. Everything tasted delicious.
Soon it was time to put up the tent. We helped Dad pull the tent out of the bag, but unluckily, we found no poles (杆子) to hold it up. “Oh,” cried Jim, “I left them at home.” What could we do Dad looked up the starry (星光璀璨的) sky. The night was clear and the air was warm. “It’s OK, we don’t need a tent.” Then he put the sleeping bags on the ground.

In China, more people are choosing to visit places that aren’t very famous instead of going to popular tourist spots. This is called “reverse tourism (逆向旅游),” and it’s becoming popular among young people.
An online travel agency (旅行社) says that during the holiday, hotels in less-known cities had 30% more bookings than last year. Four-star and five-star hotels in these places also saw their bookings go up by at least 10 times. Some lesser-known spots had a big increase in visitors. For example, Baimaiquan Park in Jinan, a city in Shandong Province, had 52,100 visitors over seven days. That’s 15.78% more than last year.
People choose less-known places for a few reasons. There are fewer crowds, and it’s cheaper than going to popular places. These places are also less commercial (商业的), which means they feel more real and special. These reasons show that people’s travel needs are changing, and that may be the main cause of the rise of reverse tourism.
Zhengzhou Daily says that reverse tourism is not a bad thing. It gives travelers more choices and helps the tourism market grow. It also pushes less-known places to get better.
Jiang Han, a researcher, thinks reverse tourism is here to stay. He suggests that people should explore the hidden possibility of these less-known places. We need to learn more about local culture and show off the special things these places have to offer.

A.Improving the spots in tourist areas.
B.Making better rules for tourist spots.
C.Exploring the possibility of less-known places.
D.Encouraging local culture online.
In a study published in Nature Communications, researchers from the University of Zurich told 50 people they’d be receiving about $100. Half of the people were asked to spend that money on themselves, and half were asked to spend it on someone they knew. Before giving out any money, the researchers brought everyone into the lab and asked them to think about a friend they’d like to give a gift to and how much they would spend. They then performed functional MRI scans (扫描) to get to know activity in three parts of the brain related to social behavior, generosity (慷慨), happiness and decision-making.
Their choices and their brain activity seemed to depend on how they had promised to spend the money earlier. Those who had promised to spend money on other people were likely to make more generous decisions throughout the experiment (实验). They also had more interaction between the parts of the brain related to altruism (无私) and happiness, and they reported higher levels of happiness after the experiment was over.
Another piece of good news was that planning to give away just a little bit of money had the same effects on happiness as giving away a lot. “At least in our study, the amount spent did not matter,” says lead author Philippe Tobler. “Even little things have a beneficial effect—like bringing coffee to one’s workmates.”
“It’s not yet clear how long these warm feelings last after being generous. But studies have shown that older people who are kind more likely to have better health,” says Tobler, and another research has suggested that spending money on others can be effective at lowering blood pressure. “Moreover, there is a positive connection between helping others and life expectancy(预期寿命),” he adds.
Next time you think that the best way to make yourself feel better is to buy yourself a treat, consider that the opposite is likely true. “It is worth giving it a try, even if you think it would not work,” Tobler says. “Repeated practice is probably needed so that giving becomes second nature.”
29.What happened to those promising to spend money on other people
A.They were much happier. B.They had less brain activity.
C.They were slower at making decisions. D.They experienced higher levels of stress.
30.What does Tobler want to explain by mentioning bringing coffee to workmates
A.It isn't hard to behave generously. B.Being generous will pay off in the end.
C.The amount of kindness did not matter. D.Small acts of generosity can be seen everywhere.
31.What does Paragraph 4 mainly tell us
A.Ways to show generosity. B.Health benefits of being generous.

What would you like for lunch Maybe, a battery (电池) Although it sounds unusual, this has already been realized by scientists as they develop electronic (电子的) things you can eat.
Robofood, led by Dario Floreano from a Swiss Institute, has created a new drone (无人机) with scientists from Wageningen University, the Netherlands. Half of the parts inside can be eaten! The program aims to (旨在) make robots that can be eaten and foods that act like robots by mixing food science and robots in a new way.
The drone’s wings are made from rice cakes glued together with oil and chocolate. It can find missing people or animals in emergencies (紧急情况) and send food or medicine. Parts of the drone can be eaten because they meet food safety standards for emergencies set by the United Nations.
However, the main challenge is finding stronger edible (可食用的) materials for the drone’s wings to prepare for bad weather and high temperatures—of course, the chocolate may melt (融化) easily.
Robofood also developed an edible sensor (感应器) to help monitor stomach sickness, and it’s eaten by the patient to check the conditions inside. It’s different from other sensors because it’s easy for your body to digest (消化), so it won’t leave any remains inside the body.
The invention of Robofood also helps with environmental protection. There are batteries that you can fully eat. They are made from natural things like vitamin B2 and elements found in fruits. This helps the environment because you won’t have to throw them away like other batteries.
33.What is Robofood’s main goal
A.To develop smart drones. B.To create edible electronics.
C.To help check stomach disease. D.To put sensors on drones.
34.What problem does Robofood’s drone have
A.The drone can easily break during flying. B.The drone cannot take off in bad weather.
C.The materials are not strong enough. D.The materials cannot easily melt.
35.Compared to other sensors for checking the stomach, what can Robofood’s sensors do
A.They can be safer for human body. B.They can check more carefully.
C.They can stay in the human body longer. D.They can be taken as medicine.
36.Why is Robofood’s battery good for nature
A.It uses less power. B.It cuts down pollution.
C.It uses solar power. D.It is made from food waste.
This September I had the chance to come to China for the first time and visited Yunnan Province.

Are you a happy person most of the time Or do you easily get angry sometimes Everyone has a different temperament (脾气). It is usually believed that both genes (基因) and environment may affect (影响) people’s temperaments in different ways. But now, scientists have found that the season of birth also plays a role.
Scientists studied 400 university students. In the study, the students needed to finish a questionnaire (问卷). The result showed that people born in summer more easily changed between sad and happy moods (情绪) compared with people born in winter. Those who always felt active were mostly born in spring and summer.
The study also found that those born in autumn less probably had a mood of depression which may easily drive them to cry, while those born in winter were not easier to be angry.
Scientists said that this was probably because the seasons had an influence (影响) on certain chemicals (化学物质) in the human body. And the chemicals are important to control people’s moods even in adult life. It seems that when you are born, they may increase (增加) or decrease (减少) your chance of developing certain mood disorders (紊乱).
