The most famous and largest temple honouring Confucius, it is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dacheng Hall stands at the centre and is the main place for paying respects to Confucius.

Located to the east of the Temple of Confucius, this was the historical home of the descendants of Confucius. It covers 16,000 square metres and has 460 rooms.
