Today was an amazing day. There was a total solar eclipse in Wuhan! I woke up early because I couldn't wait to see it!
My friends and I went down to the Yangtze River to find a good place to watch it. We took cameras, chairs, food and drink, and special glasses so we could look at it. Lots of people gathered there to watch too. Slowly, the moon moved in front of the sun. It looked like someone bit a hole in the sun! It got darker and darker as the moon slowly covered the sun.
At 9:26 a.m. the moon completely covered the sun. The sky went dark. The crowd gasped and cheered. The light of the sun made a ring of light around the moon. I took this photograph then. The total eclipse lasted for over five minutes! Then it passed and the sky started to get brighter again.
I was really inspired by the eclipse this morning. In the afternoon, I spent hours reading about astronomers, eclipses, and how the planets move in our solar system. The universe is simply amazing! I also watched some videos with famous Chinese astronauts. I want to become an astronaut or astronomer someday too. The sky is the limit!

My Memorable Day
Last Sunday, my husband and I went to climb Shenxianju Mountain.
We wanted to walk up to the top, but then it started to rain a little, so we decided(决定) to take the cable car.
We waited over an hour for the car because there were too many people.
We didn’t have an umbrella, so we were wet and cold. It was terrible!
And because of the bad weather, we couldn’t see the beautiful views(美景) and it was difficult to walk on the mountains.
Luckily, we brought some money with us and we bought some delicious snacks(小吃) in the shop. The food tasted great because I was so hungry!

Yesterday was a terrible day! My alarm didn’t go off so I woke up late. It was already half past seven when I woke up, and I needed to be at school by eight! I ran to the bus stop without breakfast, but I still missed the bus. It was half past eight when I got to school. My teacher was angry with me, and I felt bad all day. At five in the afternoon, it was time to go home. When I waited for the bus near my school, it suddenly began to rain heavily. I looked into my schoolbag to see if I have an umbrella in it. Unluckily, a car came and it got water all over me! I was completely wet! Finally, the bus came and brought me home. I took a hot shower and ate some warm food. It was so good to be home!
