As a top world carmaker, Tesla is leading the way in self-driving technology. The company’s CEO, Elon Musk, has promised an exciting future where Teslas drive themselves. Much of this promise is focused on Autopilot, Tesla’s advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). It is designed to make driving safer.
Autopilot officially came out in 2015. It can reduce the work drivers need to do at the wheel. Today, the system becomes standard on every new Tesla. It includes features like Autosteer (自动驾驶) and Traffic-Aware Cruise Control (交通感知巡航控制), which together help a car match its speed to that of nearby traffic and stay within a clearly marked lane (车道).
The Autopilot system requires special tools to collect and process data (数据). The first tool, named “Hardware 1”, used a camera, radar and ultrasonic sensors (超声波传感器) to provide driving help. In 2016, “Hardware 2” was introduced. It was improved to include eight cameras, a radar sensor and 12 ultrasonic sensors. With better tools, Tesla introduced Enhanced (增强版) Autopilot later that same year. It has new features that help cars to change lanes and park by themselves.
In 2017, Tesla began selling a more advanced model of Autopilot, calling it “Full Self-Driving” (FSD). In addition to the features of Basic and Enhanced Autopilot, FSD can see and stop for traffic lights. However, both Autopilot and FSD require active driver control and do not make the car fully autonomous .
Another major development came in October 2024, when Musk showed the company’s new robotaxi, called the “Cybercab”. Expected to be available before 2027, Cybercab will have no steering wheel (方向盘). “You could fall asleep and wake up at your destination ,” said Musk at the company event. However, experts aren’t sure if these Tesla taxis will be on the roads soon because there are still many problems to solve and safety tests to pass.
14.Why did Tesla design Autopilot
A.To make driving safer. B.To test new driving technology.
C.To collect information about self-driving cars. D.To let self-driving cars run at a fixed speed.
15.When did Tesla introduce Enhanced Autopilot
A.In 2015. B.In 2016. C.In 2017. D.In 2018.

C.Change lanes and park by themselves. D.Use radar and sensors to drive.
17.How is FSD different from Basic and Enhanced Autopilot
A.It needs active driver control. B.It can stop for traffic lights.

Corbezzolo honey is a special kind of honey famous for tasting nothing like we expect honey to taste, because it’s really bitter.
Italians have been making corbezzolo honey in Sardinia for a very long time. How long, it is impossible to say. If you can get past the bitterness, you’ll discover the honey full of nutrients (营养物), vitamins and minerals. It has been used as a sleep inducer (诱导物) and cough sedative (镇静剂).
* Corbezzolo honey is got from the flowers of the corbezzolo shrub (灌木), known as the strawberry tree in English. It is a kind of honey that is difficult to make, for several reasons. For one, the corbezzolo shrub flowers in autumn, and requires special weather conditions—enough summer rain and a mild August to do so. Then, there’re bell-shaped small flowers, which make it hard for bees to get in and collect nectar (花蜜). Lastly, the rainy autumn weather makes it difficult for bees to leave their hives and collect the necessary nectar, and a heavy downpour can stop the corbezzolo flower from opening its petals. For all these reasons, corbezzolo honey is produced in very limited amounts.
Corbezzolo honey has a special flavor, with sharp notes of balsamic vinegar, pine tree sap (树液), a hint of leather, coffee, and a smokey (烟熏味的) finish. But to the average person, it just tastes bitter.
Either you like it, or you don’t, there is no middle ground.
It’s not fully understood why corbezzolo honey is bitter when most other types of honey are so sweet, but some believe that it has something to do with the glycoside arbutin (熊果苷) in the flowers of the strawberry tree.
Because of its bitter taste, corbezzolo honey is usually paired with other foods, such as fatty cheeses like pecorino, or Sardinian desserts like seadas. It’s also very popular as an addition to espresso, strong black Italian coffee.
Corbezzolo honey may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it is an important part of Sardinian culture and prized as such by locals and honey lovers alike.
22.Which of the following is NOT true about corbezzolo honey
A.It provides something that is needed for humans.
B.It has a long history that the writer isn’t quite sure about.
C.Eating the honey makes people excited.
D.It can be used as natural medicine.
23.Which is the reason why the honey is hard to make
A.The plant needs dry weather to grow in summer.
B.The corbezzolo flower is too small for a bee to climb in easily.
C.Bees can’t find their hives in the rainy autumn.
D.The corbezzolo plants have few flowers.
24.The underlined word “flavor” in the passage can be replaced by “________”.
A.taste B.shape C.size D.color
25.Corbezzolo honey is eaten together with the following EXCEPT ________.
A. B. C. D.

Voltaire once wrote: “Poetry (诗歌) is the music of the soul, and, above all, of great and feeling souls.” What would he say then about the news that, in a recent study, people couldn’t tell the difference between AI-generated (AI生成) poems and real ones written by some of history’s greatest poets What if he also learned that people actually (实际上) preferred the AI-generated poems Would he think that computers have souls
A new study in the US asked 1, 634 people to read ten poems. Five were poems written by a famous poet. The poets included Geoffrey Chaucer, William Shakespeare, Emily Dickinson, T. S. Eliot and Sylvia Plath. The other five poems were written by ChatGPT 3. 5 in the style of the same poet. The readers were asked which were written by AI and which were written by humans. Most of the people thought the AI creations were the human ones. In fact, the five poems thought least likely to be written by a human were all written by actual humans.
The researchers then asked 696 people to rate (划分等级) the poems based on qualities such as their beauty, feeling and rhythm. The people who didn’t know which poems were human and which were AI preferred the AI poetry.
The researchers published the final finding—people found the AI poems more “easy” and “understandable”.
AI may be able to create poems we prefer, but it seems that it might not be able to create advertisements. Coca-Cola recently showed its newest Christmas advertisement. They recreated the classic scene with people smiling as Coca-Cola truck passed by. But this time, it’s all been made by AI.
The new advertisements have led to an online discussion with people calling them “scared”, “lifeless” and “sad”. However, others say that the AI advertisements are a “game-changer”. Some companies may be encouraged and try to follow Coca-Cola’s example.
What do you think Can AI replace (取代) human creativity

57.例文
Dear teachers and fellow students,
AI is like a “golden key” that brings both chances and problems for our learning.
I’d like to share some of my thoughts on this growing trend. First, many of us may depend too much on AI. We should manage our time wisely and think actively and critically so that we can solve this problem. Don’t just rely on AI to get answers. Second, it may reduce face-to-face communication. We can take part in various school activities, like group discussions and sports meets. By doing so, we can communicate more with our classmates. Also, some students may be addicted to AI-related entertainment, which is harmful to themselves. We need to set clear study goals and limit our time on such entertainment.
In conclusion, with the right attitude and proper solutions, we can make good use of AI and develop ourselves better.
Thank you!
