From Earth, we can only see one side of the moon: the near side. Does the moon rotate (旋转) Yes, it does and it rotates around the earth at the same speed (速度) . That’s why its far side never faces us. What’s out there China is on the way to find out with Chang’e-6.
On May 3, a Long March-5 rocket took off from Hainan, carrying Chang’e-6. The purpose of this project is to bring back stones from the Moon’s far side, which is a world first. So far, humans have collected stones from the near side ten times. But scientists believe the far side will tell us something new.
Chang’e-6 is going to collect stones from a big impact crater (撞击坑) on the far side. It is 25,000 kilometers wide. That’s about the distance between Beijing and Hainan. The crater, with a history of over 4,000,000,000 years, is the oldest on the moon! The stones will help us look into our nearest neighbour.
This is a big step forward, ________. China plans to get astronauts to the moon and back by 2030. It also hopes to build a research station there.
( )19. What can we know from the first paragraph
A. Chang’e-6 visited the near side of the moon.

The “April snow” is here! It’s not real snow—it’s catkins (柳絮) from willows in spring. For some people, this “snow” is not welcomed. Catkins can cause trouble, making people’s noses, eyes, and skin uncomfortable.
In fact, there are two genders (性别) of willows: male and female. In spring, the female willows grow lots of flowers. When these flowers finish growing, they begin to produce cotton-like seeds (种子) that fly in the air.
Luckily, scientists have found some ways to solve the problem of catkins. One is to change the gender of willows. People cut off the branches (树枝) of female willows and change them with branches from male willows. This will cut down the number of catkins. However, this way is slow and expensive. A skilled worker can do the change on less than ten willows a day.
Another way is giving willows a special medicine. Just spray (喷洒) the medicine on willows right before the catkins form, and then it will quickly lower the number of catkins. Still, people need to be careful about how much of the medicine they use and when they use it, or they might hurt the environment.
( )23. What does the “April snow” refer to
A. Cotton fields. B. Willow seeds. C. White flowers. D. Spring snowfalls.
( )24. Why do people cut off the branches of female willows
A. To make willows beautiful. B. To collect the leaves of willows.
C. To stop the produce of catkins. D. To separate willows by genders.
( )25. When is the best time to spray medicine on willows
A. Before willows develop leaves. B. Before the forming of flowers.
C. After the flowers finish growing. D. After the changing of branches.
( )26. What’s the main idea of the passage
A. How to move catkins. B. How to plant willows.
C. How to cut down catkins. D. How to protect willows.

As a child, I was an average student at best. School, for me, meant playing soccer with friends and I often felt nervous in class for not knowing anything.
I still remember the day when everything changed. During halftime of our soccer game, my French teacher, Paul Galant, stood by the playground watching us. “Johnnie, come here,” he called out to me. “You must be pretending (假装) not know anything,” he said. “But you can be the best in your class.” I thanked him and ran back to the game. But his words hugged me. No teacher had ever told me I could be the best. Those words changed my life. From that day on, I worked hard on my schoolwork and became one of the top students.
But it wasn’t just in the classroom that Mr. Galant made a difference. He also saw something in me on the playground. I had come sixth, as usual, in the school’s 800-meter tryout. This meant I couldn’t take part in the competition as a member of our school for the interschool race. Mr. Galant must have noticed how hard I tried. He talked the P.E. teachers into letting me and a few others train with the top three. Night after night, I ran tirelessly around the playground. At the interschool race, I almost broke the city’s 800-meter record (记录).
Mr. Galant always believed in me and every other child in his class. For a young teenager, the sense that you could fly made all the difference. I will never be able to thank Mr. Galant enough.

C. The hug from the French teacher. D. The encouragement from Mr. Galant.
( )29. What is paragraph 4 mainly about
A. How I improved my running skills. B. How Mr. Galant helped me after class.
C. How I broke the city’s 800-meter record. D. How Mr. Galant trained me on the playground.
( )30. What kind of teacher is Mr. Galant
