r 音节就是 “元音字母 + r” 所构成的音节，
一共有五个：ar、er、ir、or、ur。它们在重读音节和非重读音节中的读音规则不同。
r音节

ar 1. 一般发长元音 /ɑ /，如 park。 2. 在 w 后一般发长元音 / /，如warm 一般发短元音 / /，如 dollar。
er 一般发长元音 / /，如 her。 一般发短元音 / /，如 summer。
ir 一般发长元音 / /，如 shirt。
or 1. 一般发长元音 / /，如 sport。 2. 在 w 后一般发长元音 / /，如 work。 一般发短元音 / /，如 actor。
ur 一般发长元音 / /，如 Thursday。 一般发短元音 / /，如 Saturday。

易错点
当元音字母后面有两个 r 时，其中的 “元音字母 + r” 不
能被看作 r 音节，不遵循 r 音节的发音规则，而需遵循两个元音字母夹着两个辅音字母时的分音节原则，即一个辅音归前一个音节，另一个辅音归后一个音节，如 hurry（hur-ry / h ri/）中的 u 发 / / 音，carrot（car-rot / k r t/）中的 a 发 / / 音，sorry（sor-ry / s ri/ ）中的 o 发 / / 音，这些元音字母读它们在重读闭音节中的发音。

英语节奏的特点：
英语句子中的一个重读音节与其后若干非重读
音节组成一个节奏组，即一拍。
读英语句子时从一个重读音节到下一个重读音
节所用的时间大致相等。
英语的节奏
英语的节奏：
英语是一种节奏较强的语言。英语句子中有的词重读有的词不重读。英语单词有重读音节和非重读音节，重读和非重读音节在句中形成一强一弱或一重一轻的变化，这就形成了英语的节奏。
英语的节奏
从一个重读音节到下一个重读音节所用的时间
大致相等，因此若两个重读音节间所包含的非重读音节少，则重该音节的元音就得读得比较慢，若所包含的非重读音节多，则重读音节的元音读得会相对短些，同时非重读音书读得更快。我们前面所学的连读、弱读、同化就是为提高语速，使语言更加流畅服务的。
英语的节奏
英语具有重音等时的节奏特点，这和中文音节等时
的节奏完全不同，这就导致了许多学生觉得英语语速比较快，听不懂。了解了英语节奏的特点，学生就知道听时要学会抓住关键词，也就是重读的词，它们基本表达了句子的主要意思，同时在说英语时也要注意不要把非重读词读得和重读词一样重，破坏了节奏，影响交际。
