How Can We Be Successful
Ladies and gentlemen,
Good morning! I am very excited to stand here to share what I learned from the
wonderful speech. Wang Xingxing, the founder of Unitree Robotics, inspired us with
his story about turning passion into success.
He emphasized three keys: first, keep studying continuously. I once struggled
with math, but I practiced daily and finally improved. Second, don’t stop thinking and
improving. When I joined the robotics club, I learned to analyze problems creatively.
Third, predict future trends. For example, I now follow AI news to prepare for future
opportunities.
Most importantly, find what you love and what you’re good at. I discovered my
talent for coding in middle school, which gave me confidence. Always believe in
yourself—even small steps count! Let’s chase our dreams with courage and
perseverance.2025 年上学期九年级第二次模拟检测

If you' re a fan of classic soul music, the word" respect” might quickly bring to
mind ArethaFranklin singing loudly, "R-E-S-P-E-C-T, find out what it means to me!
" But what exactly is respect How can you show it And how do you earn it
Respect often means different things to different people. There are several aspec
ts that many people can agree on, though. For example, at its most basic level, respect
means being kind and thoughtful to others.
Respect is important because it sets the proper stage for all our human interactions (人际交往) . Friendship, lo
ve and even basic commun cation must all start with respect.
Everyone wants to be respected. To earn and deserve respect, though, you must also show respect to others. It'
s always a two-way street. You can't be disrespectful to others and expect respect in return. Respect can take many f
orms, such as not making fun of others and putting yourself in other people's shoes and thinking about how they fee
l. In short, observe the Golden Rule: treat others the way you want to be treated.
It's easy to show respect. Be polite. Look for the best in people rather than focusing on their faults. Make othe
rs comfortable when they' re nervous. Help out whenever you can. When you pay it forward, amazing things can ha
ppen.
However, not everyone will show you respect all the time. In fact, you' ll probably see examples of disrespect
ful behaviour each and every day. How you respond to disrespectful behaviour, though, can make a huge difference.
If you choose to respond to disrespectful behaviour by acting disrespectfully yourself, you' ll gain nothing. You' ll
only continue the pattern of disrespectful behaviour and set a bad example. Instead, act respectfully and set a good
example. Consistently (一贯地)acting respectfully might just help others learn from your example!

29. Which of the following questions can paragraph 3 answer
A. What is respect for humans
B. How do people start connections
C. Why does showing respect matter
30. The underlined word“observe” can be replaced by“ ”.
A. change B. follow e. break
31. Why did the author write this passage
A. To remind readers to value respect.
B. To teach readers to be kind to others.
C. To introduce readers to a golden rule.

There's nothing better than an ice-cold drink on a hot day. But when y
ou' re outside, keeping drinks cold isn't easy. Ice melts, coolers are heavy, a
nd your refrigerator is probably far away. Wouldn't it be great if your drink
could just cool itself Now, the CoolCan makes that possible!
The Cool Can isa self-cooling can.32. Although he never st
udied engineering, he spent years trying to create-a can that could cool a drink
in minutes.
The Cool Can works when you push a button on its bottom. 33.
And after a few minutes, the drink inside is ice-cold-as-well.——
This works because of a special layer of crystals.(晶体) inside the can's walls. When you push the butt
on, water is released, which mixes with the crystals. This creates a reaction(反应) that takes in heat.34.
ín addition to being easy to use, the Cool Can could also help reduce the need for refrigerators. Accord
ing to the United Nations, refrigerators use 17% of the world's electricity. Plus, unlike plastic bottles, the Cool Can
itself is fully recyclable.
35. A survey of 100 university students by Vyse's company, deltaHInnovations, found that 81%
would choose a self-cooling can over a normal one when drinking on the go, while 73% would be happy to pay m
ore if it meant their drink was cold.
Vyse is already talking to drink companies like Coca-Cola and Red Bull. If all goes well, the Cool Can
could be on sale by 2026.
A. That makes the drink inside cold.
B. The idea is already quite popular.
C. He used to work as a drink server.
D. It was invented by James Vyse of Wales.
E. The outside of the can gets cold right away.

Robots Dance Yangko at 2025 CCTV Spring Festival Gala
On January 28, 2025, a special performance calledYangBOT amazed the audi
ence at the CCTV SpringFestival Gala, China's most-watched TV show. Directed b
y the famous filmmaker Zhang Yimou, the show mixed traditional Chinese yangko
dance with modern robot technology.
In the performance, humanoid robots (robots shaped like humans) dressed in color
ful costumes danced yangko,a joyful folk dance from northern China often seen during festivals. They spun handk
erchiefs(转手绢) quickly and formed creative group patterns. These robots were developed by Unitree,a Chinese r
obotics company. This was not Unitree’ s first success— in 2021, their CCTV Spring Festival Gala robot cows na
med“Ben Ben” danced with the singer Andy Lau.
The robots learned dance moves through AI and used laser navigation (激光导航)to move safely on the stag
e. Their strong . joints (关节) (like knees with 360 N·m power) helped them balance perfectly during fast steps. Z
hang Yimou explained,“This dance isn't just fun— it shows how technology can bring new life to traditions.”
Thanks to these innovations(创新), the robots won the hearts of millions. On social media, topics like“Robot
Yangko” spread quickly. Young viewers called it“cool”, while older audiences loved its humor and festive spirit.
The YangBOT program is a perfect mix of China's tech progress and cultural pride. As one fan said, “It's like
watching the future and past dance together!”
