Once upon a time, a mother duck had____little ducklings. Five of them were small and yellow, but the last one was big and ____. The other ducklings ______ at him and told him to go away. It made the poor duckling very ___, so he decided to search for a new home.

2a Read the beginning of the story.
Once upon a time, a fisherman caught a bottle in his fishing net. When he opened it, a great cloud came out and became a genie!
“Prepare to die!” shouted the genie. “A long time ago, I made a promise. If someone set me free, I would make them rich and powerful. But no one ever came. After years and years of waiting, I became very angry. If anyone set me free, I would kill them instead of giving them anything. So, you must die!”

Write an ending for it. Use the questions to help you.
The fisherman was very scared but he thought quickly. “Before you kill me,” he said, “I have to ask—how did you get into such a small bottle I don't believe you could fit in there!”
The genie laughed. “That’s easy!” he said. “Watch!” He then turned back into a cloud and slowly went into the bottle. As soon as all of the cloud was inside, the fisherman quickly put the lid back on the bottle.
“Hey! Let me out!” the genie shouted.
The fisherman smiled. “No! You wanted to kill me. Now you’ll stay in there. Maybe another fisherman will find you one day. And if you promise to be good, I might let you out.”
The genie knew he had no choice. “Okay, okay! I promise I’ll make you rich if you set me free. I won’t hurt you. I’ll be your friend!”
The fisherman thought for a moment. Then he opened the bottle. The genie came out and this time, he kept his promise. He gave the fisherman a big house, lots of gold, and the two became good friends. From then on, the genie never tried to hurt anyone again.
