(1) 基本用法
so...that... 结构表示 “如此…… 以至于……”,so后面接形容词或副词,that 引导结果状语从句,用来描述前面的形容词或副词所达到的程度而导致的结果。
(2) 句式结构
①so + 形容词 / 副词 + that + 从句
例如:
He ran so fast that I couldn't catch up with him.他跑得如此快以至于我追不上他。 此句中fast是副词,修饰 ran,that I couldn't catch up with him是结果状语从句,表示 “跑得快” 导致的结果。

(3) 特殊情况
当 “so + 形容词 / 副词” 位于句首时,句子要部分倒装。

(4) 与其他结构的区别
①与 such...that...的区别:such...that... 也表示 “如此…… 以至于……”,但 such 后面接名词。
例如:It is such a beautiful day that we want to go out for a walk.
