After a late night in the town celebrating with two friends, I decided it was time to head on home. So I walked towards the bust stop a little worried that I might already have missed the last bus. It was a Sunday and the buses were few and far between. When I arrived there were still a few people waiting, so I thought perhaps there might be one last bus. After waiting a while I called a friend and asked her to look up a schedule online. Sure enough we had all missed the last bus by about 10 minutes.
One person insisted another bus was to come so we waited. An hour and a half after arriving at the stop I had had enough. Some people were getting mad as it seemed the only way home at that point was to call a taxi but most of them only had enough for bus fare. There was a mother with tow beautiful twin girls who was particularly sad.
I decided it was too late and too dangerous to let everyone get home on their own. So, I called a taxi company and asked them to send out a mini-bus. I told everyone that if they wanted they could all ride with me and I’d make sure they all got home, no matter where they lived. So, about six of us piled in the mini-bus when it arrived.
I was one of the first to reach my destination so I reached into my pocket and pulled enough money to be more than certain that everyone got home. I told the driver to keep what was left over. So, everyone got home safely and at a reasonable hour, the driver got a big tip, and I went to bed content.

In classroom, your teachers will talk about topics that you are studying. The information will be useful for you to know when you take tests. So you must be able to take good notes from what your teachers say.
Here are the three stages(阶段) of taking notes and what you should do during each stage.
1.Before Class
Review your notes you have taken before you come to class. This will be good for remembering what was covered. Get you ready to understand new information your teacher will provide.
2.During Class
Pay attention to what your teacher is saying and “the key words” that tell you what your teacher is going to say and it is important to write in your notes. Examples of key words are “The most important point…” and “Remember that…”. Be sure to include the information that your teacher repeats or writes on the blackboard. Write quickly so that you can include all the important information in your notes. Do this by writing abbreviations such as “med” for medicine, using symbols such as “%” for percent, and writing short sentences.
3. After Class
Rewrite your notes to make them more complete and accurate(准确的) by changing abbreviations into whole words, symbols into words, and shortened sentences into longer sentences. Use them to answer your questions. If necessary, ask your teacher for help.

People often say they feel good when the sun is shining and sad when it is cloudy. In fact, sunlight makes us feel good. When sunlight hits our skins, our bodies produce a vitamin. Vitamins are chemical substances (化学物质) which we all need to stay healthy. Sunlight helps our bodies produce vitamin D. Vitamin D helps our bodies make a special chemical substance. This special chemical substance affects our brains and makes us feel happy. Without enough vitamin D, their bodies make less of this special chemical substance which makes them feel good. The weather can also affect people’s emotions in other ways. Hot weather can make people angry because people feel uncomfortable when it is hot. In the same way, rain can make people angry because being wet can be unpleasant. As you can see, the weather can have an effect on the chemical substances which control our brains. Through these ways, the weather can influence our emotions. Sadly , while the weather can change us, we can hardly change the weather.
