1. What does “plant” mean in the title
In the title, “plant” has a double meaning. Usually it means a living thing like a tree or flower. Here, it refers to a “factory” where “workers” make food for the plant and oxygen for us.
A pun(双关语) is a word with more than one
meaning. It’s a clever way to make the passage
more interesting.
