Every boy wants to find treasure. And Tom is no different.
One Saturday afternoon Tom and his friend Huck go to look for treasure at a haunted (闹鬼的) house. They find everything is old and broken downstairs (楼下). Then they throw their tools in a corner and walk upstairs (楼上). But there is nothing there.

Then Indian Joe starts digging a hole with his knife and the knife hits something.
“What is it ” asks the other man.
“It’s a box,” says Indian Joe. And he puts in his hand and pulls out a lot of gold coins. The other man finds the boys’ tools, and they soon pull out the box.
“There’s thousands of dollars in there,” says Indian Joe.
“The Murrell Gang used this area one summer,” says his partner.
“They must hide their money here.”
“What will we do with this, Joe Will we bury (埋) it again ”
“No, someone might find it,” says Indian Joe. “Let’s bury it in the number two den.”
